Stacy Adams just makes poor quality stuff. Very entry level. And the leather is shit patent leather stuff. If I was gonna LARP I would find another brand with a slim profile and a cap toe like it but much better quality.

Something like Dayton's Parade Boot or White's MP Service Boot. They're pricey but offer a similar aesthetic that but will last you 10+ years with a few resoles.

Not him but I have, mostly authentic to the costume minus the jacket except on Halloween. It's a fun outfit but really dependent on the shade of your jeans and the jean jacket, the boots are fun to walk around in after breaking them in, I haven't had any issues with my Madisons but I do treat them poorly to reflect how they looked in the movie. If you ever want to wear a replica of the movie Scorpion jacket, good luck, most the replicas fit terribly, they're cheaply made, overexpensive, and annoyingly bulky, there use to be some licensed replicas but those are OOP and I'm assume the other repilcas out there are similar to the one I bought

>> No.13806727

>>13806701
I was just making that observation in the mirror. I assembled the outfit when I was 18 and while maybe I didn't look completely awful then, it's a surprisingly difficult look to pull off highly dependent on your build. At least three years later I can wear the Henley buttoned fully down without looking like undoing the last button was a mistake. Warning though, trucker jackets fit like shit off the rack, I buy size small t shirts and I'm an XL in trucker jackets, I initially bought a large, or maybe a medium, for the outfit but it it was way too small, I wear an XL now and while it's not nearly as nice and tight of a fit, it at least it makes a nice practical overlayer but for example, the length of the XL on me is like an inch or two below my belt but if I t-pose and press into my armpit, the sleeve is like a full inch above my wristbone but also the shoulders scrunch up, it's baffling.

Are you quite tall? That sounds like a nightmare of sizing that I'm familiar with. Yeah from the images I've seen of the trucker jacket it looks like a short & wide fit, which has never suited me. I can imagine that not having solid shoulders, traps and chest would make the jacket hang oddly, and obviously the same for the Henley too.

Another Gosling/Drive autist here. His build isn't really that hard to pull off, Gosling actually has a very feminine body, his hips are pretty much as wide as his shoulders. His shoulders are very small.

I suspect in the movie most of his clothing is small and at max, medium.

Some people have great genetics and you'll never get to their level but Gosling has poor genetics so an average guy can get the Drive build.

I am 6'1" 180lbs and have pretty much the same build. Of course fa has a lot of teens and skinny people though so I can see why he might look like a hard build to follow.

That's me, I'm 6'4 190lbs and my shoulders are seriously lacking any kind of mass. The lack of traps really affects how shirts and jackets hang, and no delts looks terrible. We're all gonna make it.

Also I love how many Drive autists have come out of the woodwork here rather than being shoo'd away as normal lmao

Like here you can see he doesn't really have a V taper/shape. His shoulders are naturally too small for that.

He has tight fitting clothes, combined with shots with him not with a lot of people and almost all actors showing off muscles do arm curls before shooting to get a pump on and get that solid bicep look.

The 3rd image not from a movie or a close up really highlights his size and it's not really big at all.

These are supposed to be positives that a lot of people can achieve this look.

I agree he obviously doesn't have a very good V taper, but I'd also say that is more due to his lack of lateral delts and almost zero lats compared to other stars. His shoulders aren't super narrow, he just doesn't help them out much. But you are right, he really doesn't have a huge amount of mass on him IRL.

I'd say shoulders and traps (and of course chest) make a top, especially a henley look good. Lats you'd kinda need big development, even huge guys walk with them spreading out their wings making it obvious what they are doing.

I still think his shoulders are pretty narrow though, this is another pic from the movie that really highlights it and if you saw this guy irl you wouldn't think anything of his build.

I'd guess on his real stats being 5'11" 170lbs.

His arms at times can look kinda big but that's maybe because the rest of his body isn't so big. I would put his arms at 14 1/2 to 15 inches.

The only person to pull off the scorpion jacket as well as Baby Goose is Hideo Kojima. Prove me wrong.

I’m 6’4” but quite skinny so it’s always difficult to find things that fit well. It’s always assumed that nobody has legs longer than 34”, which mine are. Shirts fit awkwardly.

I agree with the others that this film made me address my style. I don’t even try and look like him, it’s just that I liked how he made simple clothes look good just by fitting well.
