What's the general consensus on these entry level Seiko automatic watches?
And how do normies view Seiko? Is it uncool for being affordable?

Normies don't know shit about watches.

>What's the general consensus on these entry level Seiko automatic watches?

I can kind of see some dumb hiphop listening normies to make fun of Seiko for not being Breitling or Rolex. Like they would make fun of someone for driving a Honda/Toyota instead of a German car.

When I see somebody wearing a Seiko I think that they care about having something high quality, but are also frugal with their money. Seiko isn't generally a brand somebody will pick out at Macy's next to all the fashion watches so I assume they have done a little research. Grand Seiko are also excellent watches, I think even a negro would mire this bling.

I've found that orient three star line is superior to the seiko 5

>> No.13795226

I rarely see people wearing Seiko. This one guy who wore one exaggerated the cost of it, saying it was like $700 or something when it was just a basic quartz model. Most people wear Casio or smart watches.

I generally hate watch elitism but Seiko automatics are the one kind I detest. There are brands both cheaper and more expensive than Seiko that are far better choices for an automatic. They look so cheap and tacky, I've never seen one that I thought looked dignified at all

>> No.13796368

Normies literally only know Rolex. They don't know seiko, they don't know brietling, they may know tag heuer because they advertise a ton, but they really only know Rolex. Sorry, for the most part they don't even know Omega. It's true.

To normies there are two kinds of watches: Rolex and Not Rolex.

I own one seiko 5 and one invicta with a nh53a movement. Both watches run out of charge in about 3 to 4 days while on my wrist at my office job during which I barely move at all.

Meanwhile, I own three Orient watches, two of them are in the 3 star line. They last over a week on my wrist while on my office job. As long as I wind them up a little every few days they will never run of charge.

If it's over 100 dollars normies think you're rich.

To show off how you don't have money while showing you are brainwashed by swiss shills that you now believe less durable and less precise watch is somehow better than normie watch?

Yeah, but top end stuff like Audemars Piguet and Phillipe Patek aren't priced anywhere a mere mortal can afford. A normie can actually BUY a Rolex, as boring as they are.

>> No.13800021

They're the Rolexes of the >$200 price range of watches.

You seriously can't find better craftsmanship, inside or out, from any brand for this price. It's why Seiko 5s get recommended so often whenever someone asks for a cheap watch.

Have a ~100€ simple golden seiko watch and normies think im a rich fuck, because of it. They seem to like the watch tho.
