Why does American culture like fashion ads always act like everyone in a frat is a total badass and not being in a frat is social suicide? Same with implying every sorority girl is super hot and hates non-frat guys. Is this true to real life at all or just a movie meme?
In my country, frats are associated with kind of wimpy prep kids who’d otherwise not have any friends. Sorority girlsjust look like normal girls and are as friendly towards non-frat guys as they are to fratguys.

im not sure as it depends on the college you go to, but as far as my college i never joined a frat and i did relatively ok socially. i met my college girlfriend through a class of all things, so dont believe the meme that you cant find friends or dates in classes either
