I was surprised to learn Oud Wood was the biggest seller (TV second).

What do you like about Noir de Noir? I have a sample coming soon. I tried it on card and it reminded me of what my grandma wears, but I thought I’d better try it properly.

My favourite from the PB is TV (Yeah, I know) but my overall favourite is Noir Extreme, followed by Grey Vetiver.

Tuscan Leather excites me a lot, but I’m never buying it because I don’t know when I’d wear it.

I have La Yuqawam, Ombre Leather 2018, and Charriol Royal Leather. The last is a great value when it shows up on the discounters (I paid about $35) and certainly comparable to the others I named. If you want a TL style fragrance for occasional use you could do much worse.

I have a feeling that people are drawn to Oud Wood because it is a very wearable oud fragrance. Personally I don't really feel any oudiness in it. Noir de Noir is a very mature and grown up fragrance, so that you relate it to your grandma's scent is not too far off. Opens strong on rose and patchouli which gives it that classical perfume vibe. Later on develops into this sweet, woody and chocolatey oud smell that is highly addictive. Insane longevity and sillage. My favorite teacher in middle school wore it as her signature and I associate it with her lmao. I instantly think of her and her classroom when I smell it.
Grey Vetiver is a really nice office scent, prefer the EdT. Grey Vetiver to me is synonymous with a clean white crisp shirt and a nice suit.

Tuscan Leather is my favorite. I'm 19 now and I've worn it since I was 16. So good. That strong smooth leather smell, jammy raspberry with that ethereal opening and saffron spiciness. Perfect fragrance.

The drydown of Noir de Noir is why I want to try it. I’m not against the opening at all, but it wasn’t enough to drop £158 on it. I love the chocolate that comes through on Dior Homme Intense so I’m looking forward to trying it.

You’re right about Grey Vetiver. I have the edp but it just smells like a perfect day to me. Warm, but not too hot. A gentle breeze and the smell of freshly cut grass. The opening is a little harsh to me, but after thirty minutes or so I get used to it.

That’s pretty against the grain for Tuscan Leather in terms of your age. I’m nearly thirty and feel I’m now at the right age for it, but like I said, I don’t know when I’d use it. It’s pretty bold. But I agree, it is basically perfect. When I first tried it I didn’t like it at all.

Weak how? Longevity or Sillage? Because spraying more isnt going to increase the longevity thats a myth. It wont increase the sillage either, it will only make the smell itself much more intense when people do get close enough to smell it and if you spray too much it can be very overbearing. You also become anosmic to the frag you’re wearing so others will smell it but you wont after awhile so you could be wearing a Chad Miasma without realizing it.

Was out for a birthday celebration on Saturday. And 2 of my friends (and myself ofc) are really into fragrances.

I was wearing PdM Pegasus, my 2 friends were wearing Amouage Reflection Man and TF Oud Minerale. Anyway we all got a few compliments here and there. And then this one guy we know came in drenched in sauvage. And completely drowned all of our fragrances out. That scent is fucked. Happy i never fell for the meme.
