I am honestly quite confident and comfortable in my own skin and clothing but lately I have desire to feel more attractive because I do want to have a romantic partner..

I don't really know how to shop for self or have friends irl that know

How do I go about finding what's fashionable and what do you guys personally like and dislike in women's fashion so I can know what trends to stray from perhaps...

So far the pic you posted in the op is pretty cute! Bangs are a meme now but men seem to like them if that’s what you’re going for.

What kind of guy are you trying to attract? You look quite cute without makeup, but if you wanted you could keep it simple with just eyeliner and blush. Foundation gives me breakouts so I’ve been doing just eyeliner and blush for a couple years and it’s understated but still cute.

It’s something you have to get used to, unfortunately. Might want to look into tinted chapstick, it’s not as uncomfortable as lipstick but still gives you some color. You seem quite pale, which is not a bad thing, but depending on the outfit lip tint can make a big difference.

The dress you posted in the OP is very nice, and goes well with the long earrings. I don’t like the shorter dress paired with that cardigan - I think that cardigan would look better with a loose tank top and some straight-leg dark-colored pants (not jeans). If you’re going for an elegant look, flowy tops are a good staple.

What other fits are you favoring rn?

as for your original question, just look at fashion instagrams, magazines, cool looking people you pass by on the street, watch a bunch of runway shows, etc. until you start to develop your own sense of style. when you just try to imitate blindly you end up with the clothes wearing you, not the other way around. that's why most people you see in the WAYWT look terrible.

You're a decently attractive lady.
You need to worry less about how you're dressing, and more about who you're hanging around. There is no fashion style that reflects exactly what you're talking about. You know why? Because people don't always make commitment issues a point of dress. You can brush off the guys who are obviously going to be an issue already. But finding the guys who will stick with you, your clothing isn't going to help with that. Consider changing how you relate to people before changing how you dress.

The people you should avoid are those who speak in faux-apathetic lowercaps at all times. Their motivation for this style of posting is simple. They are trying to present an aura of apathy. They want to communicate: "I don't care about anything, least of all the rules of grammar." The reason they work so hard to cultivate this image of emotional invulnerability is because they are, in actual fact, extremely emotional and unstable people. If you become close to them you will catch glimpses of the volatility lurking beneath their patchwork mask of cool indifference. The lowercaps poster will silently catalog transgressions you have in its eyes committed. You will only become aware of them during the rare tantrum blowups that characterize these people. They must be avoided for your own good. The faux-apathetic lowercaps posters really could not be more pathetic.

Hey OP, I think you shouldn't worry at all. You have very nice eyes, good skin, and your style is relaxing to look at.
