>want jacket for driving
>needs to have this style of arm
>similar to a racing suit
>I do not want THAT fuckin autistic jacket
So I drive a huge amount, for fun, for work, to kill time, to clear my head, I like to drive.

I’ve tried endless jackets, but none of them offer the kind of movement in the arm/shoulder area to make them comfortable over long drives or aggressive driving.

What styles can I look into? I can’t find anything with that style of arm/shoulder that I want

In a racing suit it usually has a cover, with the soft joint, to allow movement.

I’d rather it not have that shoulder cover, but I’d be fine if it meant I finally got a jacket that was comfy for long drives

Purpose built race jackets often do not have this style of joint, and are far too hot for every day ware due to flame retarded requirements

Figured it was a long shot asking /fa/ since it’s outside of the single uniform y’all ware, but figured at least someone on here would be actually knowable??

Having any driving jacket is equivalent to having that driving jacket
Barbour is a good source of functional riding jackets though

>> No.13756752

I was looking at some Barbours, I have two waxed rain coats from them and they’re fantastic, but I find them a bit thick and heavy for long term driving, even their lighter jackets feel like it would be similar issues

Arktis makes mil spec jackets with lots of camo/color options
Lightweight 50/50 ripstop, mesh lined, very well made and reasonably priced

Beats paying alpha industries insane prices tho I guess

Sorted. Thanks for the info mate, I’ve found at least two jackets I think should fit the bill, not exactly what I was looking for but they should be comfortable enohhh for longer drives and durable enough to withstand the constant rubbing against bucket seats

That seems to throw up a similar design, but seems to be focused around shooting jackets.

Granted the weight lost from stripping an interior will only make a difference when going more than 9/10ths but it will be a noticeable improvement on the track.

Then again if OP has a stripped car and doesn't track it he's a faggot.

hahaha let me guess, you bought it for dirt cheap too. There is a reason you can find them all over the place for a few thousand, they're a piece of shit. You picked a stupid vehicle to make a race car out of and it's going to bite you in the ass later.
