I've never been one to wear skirts, but I've noticed girls in my area (Midwest) wearing very cute skirts with dark hosiery lately and I find it charming. I plan to hit up the thrift shops on my day off next week and experiment for cheap, and I'd like to request some Autumn/Winter skirt inspo before hand.
Please post anything you've got: pictures, tips on panty hose selection, ideas for shoes, etc.
I'll post what pics I've already amassed.

I suppose I should clarify: she would wear a nice top and a nice pair of cloth shorts and the hose were generally a solid color that complimented the outfit. I can't really find anything like it to post, most of what's on Google looks like shit.

i live in a colder climate but would love to wear skirts all year round. i just dont like opaque tights on me, i think i look childish. i dont think everybody does though. like the pic of Laura and hear friend dancing - i love it, but i don't think i could pull it off. ive experimented with tights in a low denier combined with woollen socks, sometimes over-knee. i dig that more than thick tights. i had a period with long skirts and wollen socks in birkenstock sandals. there'd be 5-8 cm of my leg showing when i was mid-step. i'm not sure what i think of that decision now (:
this look i think is better w/o tights. maybe you're only interested in short skirts anyway?

Also, bring high heels to your fitting. And maybe opt for shiny shoes, like in your first pic. I find it easily gets very matte and wolly when you're wearing a skirt (in anything else than velvet or leather) and black (suppose you mean opaque, too?) tights. Anything else thats shiny is good, too. A leather jacket, for instance. Unless you're going for the cute aesthetic, ofc.

Thrift/vintage shops tend to be chock-full of comfy wool skirts. I got one like pic related a few years ago and it's been my go-to ever since. It's sooooo warm and easy to make outfits with, usually pair mine with some black or brown packer boots. Plus they're usually pretty cheap, and make you stand out in a tasteful way. Sooo glad to see these sorts of fits becoming more popular.

I own one pair of shoes, and their brown walking/hiking shoes. I need shoes. I really want a pair like in my OP pic. But I don't think shoes like those are built for proper foot support or posture. I've never worn heels and I never will.

oh man i dont know. the description says "simple classic tie-shoe(dont know what it translates to honestly) in the style of the traditional men's shoe." I got it myself from a chain here in Denmark and they do ship out of the country. They're 62 dollars, and there's only size 38 left.

I'd suggest hitting a super cheap thrift shop and spending minimal on a few pieces you really like and seeing what you think of it. The dressing rooms are private, try it before you buy it. If that's too risky, just out right buy it some clothes that look good, tell the cashier you're buying a birthday surprise for your gf and you hope she'll like it, take it home, and see what you think there.

Try looking for "wholecut" which means they use one piece of leather for the whole shoe, notice there's no stitching. Unfortunately this usually means it will be quite expensive.

I posted the magazine scans. They're from various issues of Fudge. Mostly from the June 2018 and September 2018 ones.

There's this Chinese app called Zazhimi. It has tons of Japanese fashion magazine scans, including the latest issues. Some anon recommended it here a while back, and I've been using it since. Google Zazhimi for a link, because it doesn't show up in the app store if you search it there for some reason.
