Hey /fa/ I am moving somewhere with frequent rain and need some appropriate boots. Any suggestions? I'll post a few I've been looking at.

You get the idea. Something with a workwear or combat boot kinda vibe. I like the look of the commando sole. Already have a pair of leather lace up boots, but I want something more casual with better water resistance. These last ones are 8" as opposed to 6". Not sure if that's too much though? Thanks for the help, not super knowledgeable about boots or anything. Don't mind spending a little more for something better quality.

I wish Danner made a boot that had that sole, but an all leather, plain looking 10 eye upper. The recon is almost that, but it's insulated for winter. Also living in the PNW I find it's more useful for a boot to have goretex, but no insulation, so you can vary your level of warmth with wool socks etc. I have danner explorers and they're great. They're almost what I'm talking about but only 8 eye and only brown. Always get the American made ones. The chinese ones are shit. I got mine on ebay (used once) for a steal.
