Shilling this masterpiece here again. The more I wear it, the more shades and depths it reveals. From the opening to the drydown, completely stunning frag. Travesty that it's discontinued in the U.S.

Layered BDC and CdG Incense 3: Kyoto today and it ended up as something incredible.

High quality natural wood and incense with smooth fruity and ambroxan notes. Not sure which I've managed to enhance more, BDC making it more natural or Kyoto by fleshing it out and giving it more longevity. Either way someone needs to release something like this.

All right. I've given this a couple of wearings, here are my thoughts on the sample I have:
It hits you with a huge rose bomb at the start, but the plum notes peek through and compliment it throughout. As it dries down, you get a creamy, sweet dry down due to the tonka and brown sugar notes. To me, it almost smells like chocolate. Performance is good, and lasts a fair amount of time.

I'm kind of on the fence as to whether or not I'd recommend this, but I'd shy away from it and recommend amouge lyric man instead, or maybe even guerlain habit rogue edp. This reminds me a lot of the amouge, but a sweet take on it instead. I think the amouge is just a more interesting take on rose for the same price. Which is a shame, because this is yet another opinion I'm letting the price change sway my opinion on.

But overall, I think this is one of his best scents yet despite that. I really like the creaminess the tonka beans lend to this. If you like AHSEE, then I think you'll like this too.

Strange that I got the opposite. Amara on my skin smelt like an unpleasant mix of sour fruit juice, salt and a 90s bathroom air freshener. Yet with Atlantiqve I found it slightly fruity, but soft, deep and satisfying with a surprisingly good ambergris note, despite being a relatively cheap synthetic one. It was a surprise hit I just brought as a cheap throwaway just to widen my summer rotation and not wear the same things day after day but really grew to like it.

It all seems a bit sketchy to me, honestly. Most people say their fragrances do not have a master perfumer, all they do is buy cheap fragrance oil (clones, at that) from middle east and dillute it.

Why does everybody here hate on this? I know Jerememe memed it into popularity but it really does smell excellent. Soapy lavender and fruity woody amber and it's actually more complex than OS, and more refined/less harsh than Joop.

Sup guys, Amsterdamfag here. If you’ve been following my exploits over the years, you know I usually bring my trusty Creed MI. The ladies really seem to like that one. For my upcoming trip, though, I’m thinking of bringing Royal Oud instead.

What do you think? MI is safe and mass appealing, do you think Royal Oud is safe enough? I worry my girls may not like it. Royal Oud is classy and fresh, but I’m not sure how sexy it is.

The opening could be seen as a little old fashioned and old man-ish but the dry down is frankly ridiculous.

>> No.13754349

Yeah, the opening is definitely a bit old mannish, but I generally spray it on before I leave, and it’s a 10 minute walk or so to the RLD, so the opening’s probably gone by then. The opening in Royal Oud seems to be quite fleeting. I just worry that the woody notes may be offputting. Woody notes seem to be polarizing in women.

What are some good aquatic fragrances for a beach holiday? I want something aquatic because A). sauvage and other ambroxan bombs are too cloying in the heat B). pure citrus fragrances are too much like cleaning products to me.

Getting a sample of pic related, also considering Millesime Imperial. D&G light blue intense is decent but made my skin itchy.

I legitimately can't tell if you're joking. I came in here before asking if I should get it before the trolling started and got some honest replies and picked it up. It has really bad performance. Even the newer parfum is below average. At best you smell like use used too much shower gel for 3 hours. There will be dumb niggers who blame my skin or my nose but seriously BdC is shit in performance. The Parfum might give you an hour longer but doesn't project any better than the EDP. I blind bought the Parfum then got a tester of the EDP to compare the two. They are both a complete waste of money.
