I see your point, but the thing with that is even though it’s so simple it’s still quintessentaily comme des garcons, even people that don’t know it’s comme can see what comme as a brand stands for. Next to that the brilliance of comme is the amount of lines it actually has that each has it’s own uniqueness while still holding the same core values that you can feel it’s comme. It’s not just about slapping a logo on somewhere. Play is a way different line than, if we’re talking actual shitty cashgrabs, pierre balmain, mcQ, drkshdw.

I do agree it’s a cash grab but I never said the design of the clothing is innovative neither did I compare it to the main lines. What I am trying to say is that people give the brand too much hate while it’s still a cool line with a strong a brand that in my opinion doesn’t fall out of place with the rest of the comme lines. But I can imagine that for a lot of effay people the play line has become too much of a meme
