Quality isn't bad at all. People just didn't like that they stopped making them in the UK so they wanted to complain. They still have some that are made in UK, and I have some pairs, but the quality difference between those and the Vietnam/China ones have been no different in my experience.

One thing I would be careful about though is wear you buy from. Amazon sells pairs around the $100 price range which I think is too good to be true and could maybe be fake, though I'm not 100% sure on this
