if you want to blend in as an npc just wear whatever you see all the other npcs wearing.
note that putting effort into your clothes or standing out doesnt make you a main character, this just promotes you to a side character, you need the personality to back it up to become a main character.

I do and it's very limiting, not all thoughts are subvocalized but as long as I am awake I am subvocalizing nonstop I suspect there is a condition which is mistaken for aspergers that is more like a kind of narcissism with misanthropy. I am 19 and slowly getting better because like most young 4chan users I had no idea that I was actually an asshole to others, and some people were nice enough to me to look past that, Just the other day I caught myself for the first time ever I had been thinking in images and impulses at the front of my conscious and I was using those to navigate a situation I wasn't just in some silence mode because I was doing something and I thought something like "I'm finally becoming normal"

I think it's impossible to think about some things using only an internal monologue. When you think of a person and remember their face aren't you picturing it in your mind? If you only used your internal monologue to think, how could you ever recall or imagine an image? I think people can think with or without an internal monologue, but only being able to think in words would severely limit what you are able to think about.

I don't usually do that. There are thoughts or mental experiences(like certain emotions) I have that I find impossible to put into words. It's frustrating because they can't effectively be communicated.

Study higher level maths, or even more basic stuff that just happens not to be taught in school, e.g. Euclid. I don't mean that as a suggestion - my point merely being that if you get into more serious math your not thinking in any language (neither natural language, nor even in terms of mathematical symbols or diagrams). Often times you understand something immediately (I.e. without linguistic mediation) and only afterwards STRUGGLE to figure out how to describe it. In fact, this is, at least intuitively quite closely related to the classic model theoretic problem of determining whether a particular entity within a model is captured by some formally definiable formula in the signature of the corresponding L-structure.

>> No.13666953

interdasting, ive never experienced anything like that, maybe im actually limited by this, very interdasting indeed.
could this be what autism actually is?
because the stereotypical sperg is methodical and often smarter when it comes to logical things but find it very hard to grasp abstract concepts like emotions and shit, i guess an over active internal monologue that is also relied upon would be a symptom of this and non spergs not needing to monologue everything would explain them not having trouble with abstract concepts.

In not trying to be a condescending asshole but I just think you need more experience with people. Before you start seeing the way that people you dismiss as stupid are so much more intelligent than you that their ability to evaluate and react to some situations is completely out of reach for you, I mean they are not simply faster than you with the same capacities, but they are capable of processing information that you don't even see and reacting to billions of stimuli all at once.

Autistic (narcissistic) people are just revealing what they think of the intelligence of everyone that is not them or their close friends and peers. Only autistic people could think that AI was possible because they actually think people are really dumb when the intelligence of even a guy who has done nothing but cut the exact same shipment at a butcher every single day for 40 years for dirt pay is completely unfathomable to a misanthrope (autistic) who treats others as objects, just another unit to be imported and defined.

In other words, if someone describes everything in language, and thinks that their two paragraph long description of others that they keep in their head is actually a sufficient, useful, or even remotely accurate representation of others, then of course they think a machine could replace them, in the narcissists mind other people already are machines, and the subtlety and depth of actual people is seen as only a malfunctioning of the machine, not an indication that something more complicated is going on

I don't know why I'd have to use my inner monologue like I'm a character in a shitty teenage drama when I just think of whatever I need to remember or just analyze in my day to day life.

Do people really have a discussion in their heads every time they have to do anything?, It simply just happens, like if I'm thinking about choosing between option b and a my mind just does it, unless it's something I really care about it just comes naturally.

I used to do this inner monologue thing in my teens but It only made me more stressed and tired as it only kept me thinking about my problems and anxiousness, I'd put myself down constantly, nowadays I just go into what would be a stressful situation without thinking to much about it, then again I constantly keep myself entertained with podcasts and music, trying to keep my mind off of thing's, I might actually start doing a short more quick version of inner monologue again since something seemed off ever since I started doing it, I sort of feel empty and emotionless.

>> No.13667476

Hey guys, I can prove which one of you are NPCs with this simple test. Please take care not to read ahead in the instructions. Each instruction requires you to close your eyes right after reading.

1. Close your eyes and imagine your right hand writing out your first and last name in print with a pen. Imagine the specific motions your hand makes.

How was that?

2. Close your eyes again and imagine your left hand writing out your full name in the same way.

How was that?

NPCs will report having significantly more trouble with the second instruction. Many report imagining the text coming out garbled or backwards, or the hand moving erratically. This is due to a slight lapse in the structure of their simulated consciousnesses. Neat, huh?

All you people raising points like "this is just 'i'm special' for 4chan users" are coming from a good place but you have to realize that we actually are in a unique position here. Nearly everyone in this thread most likely has an IQ above 100, and that's an assumption I can make just on you being here. We are in a bubble of people who enjoy writing and reading posts on internet forums, and most of us do it proficiently. It's easy to let yourself readjust your idea of "average" in an environment like this to adapt, but keep in mind that fucking HALF the population has a sub-100 IQ. Simply being on the internet (beyond the most popular sites like twitter and instagram) puts you in an environment of people with above-average intelligence. There are millions and millions of people on this Earth who are straight up fucking dumb, and they're dumb in a way that would feel completely alien to most of you.

Look at this page, it's a breakdown of general ability by IQ bracket
https://paulcooijmans.com/intelligence/iq_ranges.html

Notice that "able to learn from written materials," which most of you clearly do (even if to a stupid extent) is placed in the 100-109 bracket. Imagine not being able to learn from the things you read. That is half the American population.

I grew up with a player 1.

>star wide receiver in high school
>didn't follow trends like his jock peers
>charismatic, go laid constantly by 10/10s
>well liked by teachers despite being the class clown
>straight As
>dropped out of ivy league school because he wanted to join the marines
>ended up in MARSOC "on accident"
>did 2 combat tours
>survived 1 IED, 2 helicopter crashes
>is low key a war hero
>got into a fight with 3 officers and sent them to the hospital. Then he got sent to military prison for 6 months
>balding at 28 but still slaying 21 year old poon
>moved to Mexico to open a bar in the beach with his veteran disability money in pension
>so how pulls this all off while still being only 5 foot 7.

I wish I was making this up. On paper the guy sounds insufferable but he's the best friend I've ever had.

any sure fire ways to see if you and others are NPC or Player Ones?

I would say my closest friends, whom i know very well and for a long time, are not NPCs but player ones in their own unique ways.

When i start to think of friends that I am not as close with I feel that i think they may be NPCs but only because I simply haven't spent enough meaningful time with them. If I had, I would see them as unique player ones as well.

As for me personally, I am quite sure I am a player one as well and not an NPC, but who really knows.

the literal defining trait of narcissism, named after Narcissus, is an overwhelming self-obsession and self-love.

Don't go rewriting the myths, man.

I heavily suspect that you got those things mixed up because it's frequent to see trannies display narcissistic qualities, and it's also very frequent to see self-loathing trannies. But all it means is that they aren't actually narcissistic, they're just overcompensating.

I have spent quite the amount of time investigating this.
being an NPC is more about your lifestyle
they don't comprehend fashion
an NPC would match a lot of these things but doesn't need to exclusively match all of them
as NPCs of different towns have different behaviour patterns
an american NPC is different from a european one etc.

the wardrobe consists of H&M, Zara, Superdry + Levis for that one jeans and tshirt
your shoes are x generic sportswear brand
your hobbies are sports and hanging out with friends
you had a pet at one point but not anymore
you barely listen to music if you listen to music it will be found in the top 5 of your local charts
your favorite food is a local dish
you did not move out of your parents city/town
your bank account is on a normal level not overly positive or negative
despite that you are still saving money for something
you have a drivers licence and never got a ticket
if there is no oncoming traffic and you don't cross the red traffic light you are an NPC
you have a facebook account, on there is at least one inspirational quote from someone you don't know what they look like
your name is in the top 15 for the most common names when you were born
