I hate the variations of this look as well... but I’m also a femanon that hates the art hoe look.

I should post my fits but I never think to - I’m all about Italian cuts, silk, leather and the occasional Hawaiian shirt. Leather designer heels or cowboy boots.

Idk man, I actually like the Japanese loose/school girlish style, so it doesn't bother me. I try to contribute a variety of shit in the girl inspo threads tho, but they usually end up dying prematurely.

Instead of complaining, why don't you guys post what you think is good? I'm just curious, and want to see a new perspective. Be the change you want to see, etc.

I'm with family tonight (boring fit, it's just all black on black layered sweaters, jeans with some gold jewellery) but, for context I'm pretty short, about 5'4", 95lbs, slight tan (Slavic, French and Norwegian ethnicity), long naturally dark hair and one of my more interesting fit variations at the moment is:

- Black vintage Prada calf leather pencil skirt (could work with leather trousers)
- Ivory or black silk camisole, alternatively a fitted black/tan polo neck if its colder
- Open or semi-open Hawaiian shirt with yellow and aqua accents
- Suede stiletto boots (almond toe) or Sergio Rossi leather sandals

Strong preference for elegance than tumblr-edgy.. but I can't shake the Thomas Pynchon/Johnny Thunders/Hunter S Thompson influence so occasionally it has a hazy edge to it.
I have a lot of 'classic' clothing and just play with the materials rather than form, I hoard 'Hendrix' shirts, quality knitwear and real leather trousers.

The main thing for me is the silhouette; I'm narrow, leggy and I don't suit 'cute' outfits - I'd look like a child or an idiot, probably both - and I really despise a lot of the trends; American Apparel skater skirts that are in 80% of fits posted online just need to be burned and the k-pop influence is just awful, it's like looking at the RTW shows from two years ago constantly.

Another recent favourite is a somewhat sheer wool v-neck sweater, singlet or an unlined bra with black or dark wash jeans and those cowboy boots.

Simple pieces, but I think it looks good.. and yes, sometimes the hawaiian shirt goes under the v neck!
