I grew up in the 80s/90s but I just saw this yesterday for the first time.

This entire thing is just like a giant dickwaving fest by the production studio, showing off their decadently lavish cel animation. I really did not expect the ending to hit me in the feels this hard.

Recommended + the protagonist is super /fa/ grimdark pimp core.

There's an interview with Araki on youtube where he confirms that the hat has become moulded to Jotaro's head because Jotaro never takes his hat off. So that would imply it's both hat and hair fused together due to being on his head for so long.

His real reasoning for it is that it makes Jotaro's silhouette much more vibrant and recognisable.
