Is Lacoste a boomer brand by now? I really like their clothing ...

>> No.13615012

>>13614952
in yurop it is worn (it is not very common but also not rare either) by every class basically. middle class dads with the polo shirts, chavs/scum with the tracksuits, tennis girls with the sportswear and college aged guys and teenagers with the t-shirts and polo shirts.
but as always, just buy a brand if you like, it's not like lacoste has any major stigmas (anymore)

Why is Lacoste deemed to be a prep brand if it's actually pretty cheap in comparison to, say, Eton?

I asked myself the same question and I think it’s because their brand is associated w/ sports like golf and tennis.

I have a Lacoste jacket btw and love it, can’t complain about quality either (I also have two polos and their quality doesn’t seem to be lacking either...).

I have a made in Peru polo for a couple years, and its held up pretty nicely. Any wear on it is from my own damn fault. Albiet my scope of Lacoste is pretty small, I don't think saying their quality is bad is fair.

One of the major proponents of prep is becoming old money. Even if you buy expensive prep staples, you almost never buy them full price. Sale, clearance, or thriftshopping is the best way to field a prep wardrobe.
