That might actually be too low, you'll lose weight quickly but you might get really intense cravings for unhealthy foods. If you do get cravings I'd say go to 1500 or even a bit higher. As long as it's at least 500 below your tdee. That'll be a deficit of 3500 calories a week which will burn about 1 pound of fat per week.

I got a physical labour job for this summer. I do restriction instead of fasting, but even then it's easy to start feeling sick at work. What helped for me was drinking a small bottle of water with added salt and magnesium each shift. Keeps you hydrated and prevents dizzyness. I wouldn't recommend fasting though if your job is fairly intense, you'll lose weight anyway thanks to the added exercise.

2 Liters water (best if distilled)
1 tsp potassium chloride
.5 tsp sodium chloride (sea salt)
1 tsp sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)

I want to get back to 48kg but since I've been working I've slowly only gained weight.
I'm quite confused as during a year of been shut-in NEET after high school I didn't move much but I also didn't gain any weight. Now as I work, I've gained ~3kg within a month but I've been also working out several times per week and due work I walk for 11 hours per day almost daily. I eat mostly self made food, usually rice/potato/spaghetti with salad and fruits, occasionally sugary snacks as I tend to pass out due low blood sugar. Also drinking lots of water daily.

Since you say you want to “tone” them, you need to gain muscle while also losing fat, preferably losing more fat by volume than what you gain in muscle.
As long as you lose fat in general you could run stairs the whole day and still get smaller legs but I’m guessing you want to be certain that you don’t fuck up and get huge thighs if you eat too much for a few weeks.
Go for running/jogging long distances on flat ground/treadmill, and avoid cycling, rowing machine, uphill walking and running etc.

God I’m such a grazer it makes counting cals impossible. Plus working at a bakery I can’t stop my self from licking extra cake and brownie batter off everything Jesus Christ don’t get me started on the spatulas covered in whipped cream :/

I’m in the same situation I barely bothered logging the past few days bc I ate things I didn’t really know how to log and after a while I went overboard with the snacking. Holy shit almonds have so many calories. After a while I stop logging out of shame :/. Today I felt bad about skipping the gym yesterday so I went harder than I usually do. I tried to log as much as I could but I think whatever I missed has be burned off any ways. Going to try hard to not eat anything for the rest of the day.

Not really, I don't do it often or hard enough to do so. Get a bit more emotional the day after but it's normalised quite quickly. On an off for a year, more during summer.

Also took a few runs of DNP a few years back so I'm a friend of water already, dehydration ain't a problem. I drink salts because heatwave and a vitamin pill a day.

Hi /thin/ I have a question.

I've been underweight, fluctuating around 16.5 in BMI, for years now and have just started exercising to avoid getting skinnyfat and weak. (also being strong for a girl seems like a cool goal)
The problem is I'm freaking out about gaining weight. I'd be fine with gaining 10 kg if it's in muscle, but I'm afraid I'll gain fat instead... So whenever I see the number on the scale getting higher I start eating less, which is sabotaging my training. I've never had any emotional issues with weight or eating before, though I have been screened for anorexia because of my low weight the doctor concluded that I'm just naturally skinny.

Has anyone here dealt with that issue? Should I just ditch the scale all together and focus on measurements instead?
