First wear of ELDO Hermann today. There's something about the combination of spicy pepper notes plus blackcurrant which reads as a sort of gourmet cola. This impression is probably aided by the effervescent ambrox and dank geosmin.

For a relatively avant garde perfume, it's actually easygoing and quite pleasant. I'm wearing it on a humid, 90 degree day. Very refreshing stuff.

You should quit if it's making you anxious, anon. My approach to fragrances currently is to build a solid year-round rotation, with something between 6-8 frags, so I'm getting some decants to fill the situations I have left on my collection which currently is basically summer casual. Also if other anons want to recommend me some summer casual scents, I like L'Homme but I wanted something a little stronger for using when doing sports or something like that. I tried Le Male Popeye and didn't like its sweetness, for summer at least.

It's a slow collection build.

You might consider what I do now: buy small splits of things on eBay. You can get 10 ml of most things for like ten bucks. If you go through the sample really fast because you like it, then upgrade to the big bottle. If you didn't really care, then you can spend your money on something else. Hundreds of blind bought bottles and the only ones I've truly hated were Prada Infusion de Vetiver and CDNIM. Some have been initial dislikes which I've since warmed up to, but most have been instant happy purchases. As long as you know what you like and research your picks thoroughly, most blind buys are going to be successes. I've actually made more regret purchases at retail based on in store testing than in years of online click-and-hope shopping. I'm looking at you, Givenchy Gentlemen Only.

If you initially aren't big on a new bottle, hold on to it and revisit it in six months. You might perceive the scent differently in different weather, the bottle may mature, or your tastes might broaden in that time to where you can appreciate it better.

eau fraiche
dior homme cologne
Avqa pour homme

Avqa is kinda dirty as a freshie (probably from the seaweed), but in a good way. I don't know if I'd wear it on a sunny day, but maybe a cooler overcast/rainy summer day. I much prefer Aqva Pour Homme Marine for hot summer days.

Dior homme cologne is pretty weak performing, but it smells like a cool class of lemonade. which is nice. A bit too sour on my skin (grapefruit)

Eau Fraiche is just a great all around summertime fragrance.

was also thinking about picking up mugler cologne, seeing as I don't really have any good soapy/shower frags for the summer (other than coolwater but it's a bit dated)

Any time I see them used the anon using them is an obvious moron who can't figure out why his experience is different when there are more variables than you can imagine affecting scent or performance. Anosmia isn't even the correct word, since it describes actual damage/mutation to the olfactory system resulting in complete/partial loss of smell. I'd guess perfumers work endlessly trying to maintain the proper scent of a perfume when they are hit in the face by new restrictions, sometimes with better success, sometimtes the performance may take a hit. Thoughts?

Im looking for something cheap and fresh since my other cologne Ralph Lauren Red (a little too overpowering sometimes)

Another one I've been thinking about is Nautica Voyage.

I love it, but try it out first even though the notes seem simple. I wear it for dates with gf because she loves the smell on me and when i'm just staying at home the whole day.
>>13537017
I don't really want to force people into changing rows because some autist decided to wear a powerhouse that suffocates everyone around him. I want to smell good to myself while not bothering people around me too much.

That stuff isn't fresh, go with nautica. Probably should just go to a sephora and try out what they have.

Is there anything with the bergamot and ambroxan of Sauvage without the irritating pepperyness that is awful when oversprayed?

>> No.13537399

>>13537367
Bergamust by Gallagher comes to mind, although he's charging niche prices for it now. It's not an ambroxan bomb like sauvage, more aquatic. Not bad though

thinking of stopping by Jew York for a day and going to Barney's, bergdorf Goodman, saks, Nordstrom and every Sephora I see to get as many samples as I can and try all the good stuff. should have a good amount at the end of the day
any other stores I should go to?

Might buy Mugler Cologne just for the price, I want something new to add to my rotation but I'm broke

John Vavartos, Encre Noir, Bvlgari. Plenty of inexpensive yet good options.

Yeah, Bergamust is nice, but I don’t know what the fuck he’s thinking charging 150.00 a bottle. Amongst Waves and Bergamust were nice, fun fragrances and reasonably attractive at the old prices, they’re not exactly super high-quality niche frags, though. I guess we’ll see if people are willing to buy at the new price point.

Yeah should be interesting. I grabbed an old box of bergamust on eBay since I wasn't gonna pay 150 for it. It's probably just the new packaging driving up cost. The packages are nice, but unnecessary. Those are the only two of his I really care for. Illoren isn't bad, either though

Did you post this thinking it was funny?

>> No.13537874

I'd say im not that confident but average looking, i can be funny sometimes too, but when i text girls i dont know what to say, im afraid of what i say will be needy/or makes me look like a weak guy/rude/or in some way meaningless... i have talked to 5000 girls in snapchat never anyone said they like me. I dont know why its like this.. they dont even compliment me once or ever. They never start the conversations, they never try to get to know me. Im i boring or what?.. and the things i ask them how are you/where you from/how old you/ what did you do today.. and never gets past this... i want to get them attracted to me but like it never ever ever happens. Maybe you guys can recommend a cologne that will fix my issues?

>> No.13537892

>>13537874
Doesn’t work that way. A fragrance will not “fix” you no matter how nice it is. Shit’s not magic. It’s nice, if a girl already likes you, she’ll probably like you more if you smell nice, but if you’re not getting girls now, wearing a fragrance won’t change that.

Looking to use fragrances, only been using spray deodorant.
Do I use some kind of roll on for my underarm? And if so anyone got recommendations for ones that won't overwhelm fragrances?

Use unscented, I used speed stick.

If you don't need an anti persp, try crystal deodorant. I get a little sweaty, but usually only stink after work in summer (I work at a grocery store fyi)

>> No.13537985

>>13537950
pretty much all of them desu. for how frequent this question is asked, i sincerely wonder how much deodorant you guys apply. like what a dozen passes per underarm?

if you're really concerned, just get something lightly scented or generically "fresh." i'd stay away from Tom's though. after like 6-8 hrs there will be hints of B.O.

Kek, this is the most pathetic thing I've read all weekend. No wonder you can't get pussy, you're a whiney insecure faggot and girls can sense that from a mile away. What you need is to cloak yourself in the scent of a Chad. Buy Sauvage and apply 8-10 sprays, then brace yourself for the tidal wave of vaginal fluid that will be coming your way.

>> No.13538309

>>13537874
they are literally not supposed to come at you unless you're 11/10 safe bet in all regards. Not to say "I get all da pussay" but even attention wise you've got to change your state of mind: as a man, you always take the charge

Buy Dior Homme Intense

>> No.13538320

>>13537874
if you are not physically attractive you have to do something productive, worthwhile and interesting with your life to be attractive. sounds like you just while away the hours beggaring for attention. make your main focus and spend most of your time developing yourself as a person, working on your career, pursuing a hobby. then looking for attention from women will drop down your priority list and it will just come your way without effort.

like another anon said, they can tell you got nothing else going on. all you have to offer any woman is your dick and theres no dick shortage in the game
