Denim Jackets

Is boxy fit acceptable on a vintage style jacket? I found an old dark wash Lee Rider Jacket in great shape, but the cut is quite boxy, with the shoulders hanging off a bit. Arm length and waist are perfect, plus it doesn't billow when buttoned

Also, general talk on denim jackets/chore coats

I've been tempted to get one of those myself, OP. I have a Jap' repro but it's a touch too small for me unless I drop about 5kg. If I ever get lifting I don't know if I'll be able to wear it even with lower body fat.
Maybe we should trade, if yours is 42 and mine is 38 I bet these shoulders are fine on you.

As long as the arms arent super big it should break in fine - i thrifted a similar jacket that was too big but after i reverse buttoned the cuff and wore it enough it relaxes at the shoulders so it doesnt look like im wearing shoulder pads. The seam hangs below the shoulder but with denim jackets in acceptable.
