This is a US army overshirt from the late 60s-early 70s. Very easy to find in thrift stores, and lots of brands made their own version of it.

By the way, if you're looking for that exact model, the reference is "OG 107".
It is indeed not a denim shirt, but a sateen cotton material. Plenty of other armies have similar shirts if you're willing to explore a bit
