I don't like them enough to spend 800 on them, but i'd wear them if they were given to me. That being said, I still cannot understand how the ever-loving fuck new balance became 'fashionable'.

Those were discount shoes exclusively worn by 40+ year old men whose highlight of the week is mowing the front lawn. Is everyone just too young to remember 1998-2004?

That has always been the case. Status over everything. It's the reason why fashion is profitable. You're not selling clothes or designs. You're selling ideas and mental social constructs.
