Are you new to the internet? There's horrible shit people do when an identity becomes widely known. It's the reason we are here on an anonymous message board and (for the most part) not posting our contact info and identity with every post.

The keeds of today who were born too late to remember a pre-9/11 world world probably don't realize but during the early days of the internet in the 90's, everyone was all about anonymity and convinced that if you as much as posted your real name or face, internet terrorists would destroy your life.
