it's weird what cliches normies glom onto in america when it comes to fashion. and then other memes are just 100% unknown. what is definite though is that, like anon said, socks with sandals are considered totally autistic. also new balance shoes, considered sure sign of autism by normies. they're also strangely aware of the neckbeard meme if you fall into that look at all so be wary!

Well, I guess I'll be posting this in every thread that comes up in the summer. I got my Suicokes last year direct from Japan for a good deal (second hand). There is no way I'd pay anywhere near full retail for them. There is nothing special about the construction, they're the same plastic made in China with the differentiation of the Vibram sole. Not to mention they were extremely uncomfortable even after months of breaking them in.

I think the hype comes from anons who have never seen/tried them. I think I'm going to go for those cheap plastic birks this season but I can't justify the price for cheap plastic so I'm waiting for a sale.

after switching to just leaving it basically just slightly tight, and walking around for a while like that, the sole shaped to my foot and the my sole sank right into the bump. beforehand i was almost convinced i was going to have to return the shoe, but after figuring out the straps and wearing them properly for a few hours the bump made sense, if you get what i mean lol

>Not to mention they were extremely uncomfortable

this.
I bought a pair new for 90 bucks and they have this little bump on the heel and its fucking awful, the toe ridges are also pretty uncomfortable even with socks on.
Just bought a pair of Tevas just like >>13389424 and I couldn't be happier with them over the Suicokes. The flat sole is much more pleasent than >>13388909 cheaper teva, which I've used often in the past (with and without socks.) I bought the nice tevas less than full price but would've gladly paid full price if I'd known that I wouldn't like the suicokes. I really wanted to like them, I've seen them a ton of times in Popeye and was EXTREMELY disappointed. They look nice, they have a good weight, but I just can't ware them because of how uncomfortable they are, especially after wearing the plastic burks for a few years.
I've worn a pair of those plastic burks as house shoes for a couple years and they're legit. Very nice and perfect for what I use them for (keeping my socks from getting dirty, I don't often mop.)

tl;dr: Plastic burks are worth 30 bucks (make sure you get the exact size, worth a return or exchange to be perfect) and tevas are worth springing the big money for - plus they're all under 100 bucks!
