Is it okay to wash all my clothes in cold water? How often should you even be washing clothes. I want to keep my stuff looking as fresh as possible.

>> No.13388337

anything that is in direct contact with your skin after one use

rest of the stuff depends

>> No.13388341

wash cold, use unscented color-safe detergent

the dryer is where a lot of damage can be done.
be careful what you throw in it.

Always wash my clothing on 40°C and let airdry, shit is always clean and doesn't damage clothing. Also reduces pilling and shit.

Should I set the dryer temperature to low in order to avoid this problem?
>>13388337
What about something like jeans. They touch your skin but they can go a little bit before washing right?

It's a double edged sword. High heat degrades clothes in one manner, extended tumbling time degrades clothes in other ways.

I only dry underwear, base layers, socks, bedding, my robe and towels.

Fuck. There's no way I could air dry, so I guess I gotta bite the bullet. Dryer shouldn't mess it up too bad I guess.

it costs less than 50 cents to run a dryer for an hour. so yeah i find it easier to run a dryer with all my washed clothes in it once a week for literally nothing...?
