I think that rule applies most severely to suiting, rather than casualwear, in which case a more general colour match would be alright - most shades of brown would go with most others, but definitely not black belt with brown shoes

I have this oversized leather perfecto jacket from highschool that is very dear to me, but it's still just too fucking big. Not only is it too fucking big and has this elastic bunched up piece at the back that I always kinda hated. But especially the weight and cut of it rek my posture.

I know just finding another one would be the best bet, but that's not the point here. I was wondering if I could get it tailored to be smaller and more fitting so it doesn't make you default to stealh-slouch whenever you wear it for longer periods of time. (the lining is fucked, so that has to be redone at some point anyway)
However, i'm a total clothes noob and have no idea if reworking a leatherjacket is even a sane/feasible/possible thing to do and what it might cost in north-western europe to do so.

Does anyone have any tips? Any specific terms or places to look for? Any things to be wary of?
