Question I can't seem to google for: What are cars that people into techwear are into? Of course, I'm looking for myself, so I'm interested in cheap cars. I'm thinking
- E36 M3
- matte black police-spec crown vic
- Mercury Marauder
- Dodge Magnum r/t or srt8
- first generation CTS-V
I'm interested in cars that are fast, but also don't look much worse when beaten-up. So the Dodge Magnum SRT8 is perfect.
Upmarket:
- Suicide door Lincoln Continental
- Pre-VAG Bentley
- Air-cooled 911
- Pic is the very beautiful Jensen Viperceptor.
That sort of thing. What do you think?

SAAB. not joking.

Oh! Great point. I totally missed Saab. Two thoughts: The Saab 900 has great "status ambiguity." You'd fit in in Martha's Vineyard and arount town.
And I really want any Saab Sonett.

How the fuck are any of these cars in a similar price range? Are you actually looking to buy or are you just trying to imagine some weird aesthetic?

And if techwear is all about function, nothing is as pathetic as a person with a fast car and no driving skill. All show no go is like the antithesis of techwear. An M3 and a Crown Vic have about as much as common as a Miata and an F-150. They aren't even remotely the same.

E46 is getting cheaper as well, rather buy that over the almost 20 year old E36 or do what i did and buy an e30

no for techwear you want slightly scifi looking cars or modern jaggy cars.
with some practicality to them

classic cars wont work well with techwear

I asked this same question a year ago. I didn’t end up buying something specifically based on this aesthetic but that is my general interest.

Ended up getting a pretty normie BMW F30 in grey with black accents, good daily so far and it is Manuel for fun and so I can practice heel toe daily :)

Will probably get a 911 in a few years if things go right

Would get a saab but outside of scanidinavia the cost of parts is just not worth it. I already have one rare car I don't need another one.

Nothing about any of these exhibits techwear. This just look's like a babby's first foray into motoring interest.
