I have them for 2 years and I can give a few reasons.

1 - They're not comfortable as sneakers. They're really boots without cushion that look like sneakers

2 - They make HORRIBLE sounds when walking because the sole is literally made of plastic. They sound like women's shoes.

3 - The sole rubs off super fast, especially in the heel. Search for "rick owens heel drag" and you find plenty of this shit

4 - They look like absolute ass when they're new and it takes quite a long time to wear them in, even longer for them to get that "worn" look

5 - Price is ridiculous. Even if you buy them 50% off, they're still incredibly overpriced.

6 - Most people will find them ugly. These shoes are like insider jokes. A few select people will admire them, but 90% of the public will think you're wearing knock off chucks that were made my mentally challenged chinamen.

Honestly if you want meme shoes, just buy a pair of mono docs and a pair of black/white chucks. This way you'll hace 2 new pairs of shoes + save a lot of money.

I own a pair and even though i like them very much, here are my five reasons not to get them.

1. Price: I think they are a bit to expensive for what they have to offer. The quality is very high and the materials are also great, but you could get something similar for less.

2. They are not very comfy. This is fixable with insoles but the are still not that comfortable.

3. They are difficult to integrate in a nice outfit. Maybe i am to stupid to do it right, but they def do not go with everything.

4. If you do not have skinny/small feet and can not go a size down you will look like a clown.

5. Most people think that your taste in shoes is bad. Sure you shouldn't give a fuck but it can be a pretty bad feeling if you spent your hard earned cash on shoes that make girls laugh at you.

6. They do not give you the ability to float.

If does reasons do not apply to you, go for it!
I really like mine, but i can understand why other people do not.

1. If you have to ask you're probably insecure, people will stare and give you shit so unless you've got beta blockers for everytime you put them on don't bother

2. Make sure you've got the wardrobe to go with it. They're versatile and can be integrated into various styles but its all about proportions and silhouettes. Generic jeans and tee type shit aren't gonna cut it.

That's pretty much it.

Incidentally, they are incredibly comfy (true to size drkshdw canvas fit me perfectly).

They literally make no sound.

If the heel wears down quickly it's not the shoe's fault you need to stop dragging your feet and walking like an autist (1.5 years of frequent use barely any wear).

Buy them on sale, they're pretty much identical every season and go into each and every sale. Just getting your size might be a problem. They might be a bit expensive but the build quality good and you're not going to find anything else like them unless you buy some d.gnak Korean knockoffs for pretty much the same price.

It depends on what you do in your free time. Id cop if I was the social type or frequently in places where large crowds of people would see me. If all you do is go to a few bars on the weekends and your occasional night on the town, you'll look a fool. It also depends whether or not you're frequently around other young people or not. Don't rush to buy these Sideshow Bob x Skechers collab shoes without thinking hard first.
