No-one here does, but I'm sceptical it's that way in the wider world away from the initiated. Not to mention it plays a role in them inflating their prices, if the truth was undeniably exposed it'd knock their prices down to what they should be at least 30%-40% less than they are. High quality, very well made perfumes, but riding too much on brand image for an undeserved premium and not above other niche houses of similar quality as they cast themselves at present.

This. I don’t give a fuck when Creed started making scents or what they claimed to do. I don’t need a detailed provenance behind the scents I wear. I just like some of their fragrances, they’re unique enough that there isn’t anything else I could get cheaper that would be comparable, so I buy them. That simple.

They’re also not even all that expensive if you’re not a retard and buy from grey market sites.

M8, there are houses that are less than a decade old and charge Creed prices or above. A house’s history does not necessarily determine the price. If they market as a high-end house and people are willing to pay their prices, regardless of history, than the premium isn’t undeserved, now is it?

They usually do something to justify it though, either way extremely rare/unusual essences that warrant the pricetag or are the work of top established designers. Like when Serge Lutens released L'Incenidaire, that was a ridiciulous pricetag but they just about got away with that based on the quality of previous releases. But few houses niche or designer really trade as heavily on 'reputation' as much as Creed do which warrants the attention to the validity of their claims.

I could start up a brand tomorrow and start selling fragrances for like 800.00 for 50mls and if people will buy it, then that’s not an inappropriate price. Celebrities do shit like that all the time. Sell regular t-shirts at high-end shops for like 200.00 that aren’t really any better in quality than ones you buy for 10.00 for 3 at Walmart.

I bought PV X-batch soon after it came out; took like 3 weeks to get here. If you've watched the reviews, you might have heard how they compare it to a mixture of Sauvage and Aventus. This is slightly true; I'd say it's a good 90-95% Sauvage and maybe the rest is Aventus. Albeit the Sauvage resemblance is without the piercing metallic note, which I quite like. It's kinda pricey at like $70 for 50ml but I'd say it's worth it only if you do not already own Sauvage; and if you own Aventus (or a clone), I would still get this. The opening isn't nearly as strong as Sauvage, which is good because I can tell my 2-3 sprays of Sauvage annoys some.

The performance is pretty decent, in the winter I got like 5+ hours with 5 sprays with pretty good projection even up to the 5th hour; although now I use a base layer of Molecule 01 to help this fragrance even more, even though it doesn't really need it. Overall, it's pretty good, I get good compliments with it; older women seem to like it as well.

Look into Eccentric Molecule 01, it's main ingredient is ISO-E Super which is this case can help prolong the longevity and projection of your desired weak fragrance. It works for a lot of mine; some frags it kinda doesn't work as well, regarding the mixture of the scent, but nonetheless it's good.

You can make your own ISO-E Super spray but I'm lazy so I just bought Molecule 01. What I do is spray where I normally would spray my frags and then I wait for about 5 mins to let it dry. then I just apply my desired fragrance and then let it dry. It really shines when you know your actual fragrance sucks with performance , for example: D&G The One EDP, the shit don't last long at all normally, but with Mol.01 it last 8 or so hours on me and helps a lot with the projection without changing the DNA of it. Also, you can use it by itself (mol.01) on super hot days too because it still has a kind of woodsy clean smell on its own that is very subtle.

This, honestly. It’s not a bad fragrance, in fact, I like it quite a bit, but it’s nothing amazing. I might grab a bottle eventually once it hits the grey market and I can get it cheap, but at Creed’s MSRP? Not a chance.

Nothing terribly innovative and definitely overpriced, but a nice frag.

How do women react to sweet notes like vanilla or rose on a man?

Obviously, a scent is not going to be the main factor in any man-woman thing. I'm just curious about what message it sends.

If you find it repulsive, might i recommend Guerlain Vetiver Extreme

It's a greener, citrusy take on the classic, and comes off a lot younger to my nose. I think the original is a great scent that really changes throughout the time you wear it, but it's not the kind of vetiver i prefer.

Eh not sure I'm feeling this one. I tried it before and loved it when I was younger, but now it just kind of comes off like a lemon cleaning agent or something. I think the spice is pretty nice, but the longevity is just so shitty. I'd rather put my money towards something else I like.

Like eau extreme for example

Nice, love this stuff. I need to get around to sampling more than cool water to see if the longevity is bad on the clones.

Looking for something to add to my collection. I currently have Versace Eros, and samples of Paco Rabanne 1 Million, Gucci Guilty Intense, and YSL L'homme.

I really like Versace Eros and how fresh it is. Lemon, apple, mint, and especially the vanilla. I love vanilla.

I tried 1 Million for a day and it was okay, but it was something in the fruity notes that I did not like. Too sweet.

YSL L'homme was good, it kinda smelled like Versace Eros without the mint and vanilla. It was too weak, and even with 2 sprays I could barely smell it there.

Gucci Guilty I think I made a mistake even getting a 2mL decant sample from Sephora. The lavender is honestly bleh.

Any suggestions? Ideally I would like to rotate between Eros and some other fragrance.

Look into the Le Male family. Also skin test Azzaro Wanted next time you're at the local pleb shop. It's one of my guilty pleasure for sure.

>>13295560
Of all GIT clones, Rasasi Egra is the best all around combination of scent, longevity, and price. Tres Nuit has poor longevity and a tacky bottle. Its resemblance to GIT lies mostly in a strong lemon verbena opening, which fades to a sweeter, dumbed down version of GIT. If you are going for a more casual, almost candied take on GIT, Chez Bond is gonna be your jam.

Cool water died in the 90s.

The bottle is a cool concept, but it's just done a bit cheaply. I understand why they had to use the materials they did, I just don't like them. I have three Armafs and all of the bottles feature smart designs which unfortunately exceed their craftsmanship.
