This actually happened to me the first time I started lurking on /fa/ for a while. I used to be a /fit/izen, and I still am, but back then I had no Idea of fashion until one day I bought some of those meme fits and walked around campus on it, even thought I was fit, I had zero confidence, so when I realized everyone was looking at me and whispering I thought at fist that they were joking so I began to feel kinda depressed fro wasting money on clothes, until one day this guy told me that he liked the way I was dressing now and that really boosted my confidence, so. Take the compliments OP. They'll boost your self esteem.
