Are you ever supposed to feel like you are satisfied with the clothes you own?

I've been buying clothes for years and I can put together dozens of fits yet I always feel like it's not enough and I needed a lot more.
Also not being rich and being interested in fashion is tortured there are so many piece that cost thousands of dollars and I can't afford to spend that amount of money more than twice a year.
