First off, why did you put the terrorwave meme images in there?
Why are you listing specific jackets but only types of boots and trousers? And why the hell are three of them US field jackets?
Most importantly, why are you not trying to represent the reality of the threads in any way? It seems like you're trying to force your personal idea of what constitutes acceptable milspo, and your idea is clearly more vain and fashio-oriented than that of most people in this thread.

Just let it go, making an infograph for milspo is a terrible idea.

It started as a thorough infographic of specific items, less so an inspirational or guideline style infographic, but as you can tell, I am only knowledgeable on a select few pieces. Jackets are easily distinguishable and designated, but boots, pants and shirts tend to be generic or broadly made rather than exact. I still want to make one that's better than the /k/ style guide or terrorwave guide that people continually shove "ID on jacket in 3rd panel?" onto. An informational guide moreso, less of a primer. Although that's fairly ambitious.

I threw the inspo together without a whole lot of thought, though I consider partisan-core milspo when it incorporates military pieces. I agree with the straight terrorwave pics lacking anything military except rifles.

I gotta say, I'm strongly against any kind of infograph. In my opinion they lead only to the relentless pigeonholing of a look and an endless procession of 'Is this milsurp?' posts. I mean bless their little cotton socks, but Lunarcore is so hostile to anything outside their inspo because they've so stringently nailed down what the look "is" and now they can;t move outside it. With milsurp it;s problematic because how do you define it? If you say it's the origin of the clothing, it;s still incredibly wide ranging and if you say it;s the look of a piece..well what of commercially made copies and so on? They'd be no nearer to the military than a dress. It;s too dark now unfortunately, but I am going to take a series of say... three pictures of outfits using nothing but military surplus to illustrate what I'm getting at.

I'm on Telny's site but if you still want to make one, here are some pointers:
Milspo is about availablity. The appeal of this style is how little it costs relative to the great quality you get. The more research you put in, the deeper you dig, the better, cheaper and more rare garments you get. Some surplus wells dry up, others open up: Maybe some army finds a load of formerly scarce WW2 shit they didn't know they had, maybe some new uniforms are released or a new store with unusual items goes online. This is why we respect Telny and Knoch - they put in the effort to acquire some very scarce items. This is also why you shouldn't put specific items or webshops on the graphic - not only because what is available changes constantly but because the freedom to create your own look, your own collection is central to the idea of milsurp - as well as the ethics of knowing your shit, of putting in the extra effort to acquire this collection.
If not specific items or webshops, what can you put on the list? Explaining how to spot good milsurp would be a good idea. A primer on the materials, an explanation of wool loden for example, or the advantages of certain blends in the military context. Maybe highlighting some armies that have excellent quality in most of thier items - the Swiss and Norwegians for example. Explaining certain common types of garments as you did with pants and boots (although "wool pants" is a stupid category - they're cargo trousers and wool uniforms should be mentioned in the materials section). You could do that very well with jackets, explaining some of the classic cuts - for example highlighting the field jacket, the parka. Why not the battledress uniform as a specific type? Or the Gorka? The concept of a smock is probably not known to every however fashion savvy person. Or that of ankle ties, or that of trouser blousers. You could do some real useful shit here.

I specifically posted that picture in reply to the post about how lovely NVA looks because they really didn't. You'll have to be a bit more specific about generic Eastern block but the similarity might also because what you know as German style is very Prussian and you can find similar tailoring and insignia for example in Polish uniforms, you know, Eastern European places that used to be German. Now if you want grace and discipline you look at >>13217096 and compare that to Western Germany and all its liberal glamour. I'm not saying DDR was the Fourth Reich. It was clearly quite literally raped into submission by Soviets and a good chunk of German culture hollowed out and replaced with Soviet semen. That honour guard might be for Rosa Luxemburg to give just one example. That being said NVA used Nazi prototype helmets, Bundeswehr got American ones. Bundeswehr got the wide open collars, NVA still had the very same high neck as the German uniforms before. It's a lot of small details that add up to one army looking like carefree 'cool' Americans and the other like shit tier Nazis.

Yes obviously. I'm not blind.
I'll refer you to:>>13222519

>It was clearly quite literally raped into submission by Soviets and a good chunk of German culture hollowed out and replaced with Soviet semen.

That says it for me. It is "better" than western Germany but it's still raped.

Btw the helmet design was rejected for not being Germanic enough.
You could argue that all modern helmets (read that as American) are based on the stahlhelm so in a way the western ones were more German. Anyways. As you said it's small details...

Another thing to pay attention to are the collar tabs; Volkspolizei ones of the time had only one decorative "column", whereas the army versions always had two.

Also, the faux cuffs on Polizei jackets of this era were visibly shorter than those of NVA ones.
