Posted this in the c/n already but may as well post it here too. Ik cps are a meme but I tried these on today for the first time and I’ve fallen in love with them. The outfit I had on wouldn’t normally match with any sneaker but it somehow did with these. Cop? Also how’s the quality on these? They felt nice to feel to me but I’m no expert. Do they last?

I've never had leather sneakers before. I normally wear canvas Vans or something like that but I'm tired of the sole tearing out wherever they crease when walking. Are leather shoes more sturdy where the leather meets the sole?

Its style-ly inconsistent as fuck, like half sock runner, then the back is normal runner than the sole is old school runner then we crammed some patent leather in there too. The white is integrated poorly as well. And the panels of the heel are built up in a weird met NB way that ruins any chance the shoe had at a silhouette. What's the consensus on the Ultraboost ATR's?

Ive never owned boost and now that my Fingertrap Premium are getting a little run down I want a comfy pair of sneaks that will last

Ultraboosts have always concerned me with the lack of rubber on the soles and ATR's should alleviate that issue, I just don't want to compromise comfort too much.

Was going to get Adidas Stan Smiths but the outlet store didn't have them, so I went to Nike and saw a white tennis shoe but decided on these for the comfiness. They didn't have AF1s in store.

Its less about nike itself and more about overdone designs (see pic related), basketball kicks were originally designed that way because in sports the only way to show off your style is shoes since you have a jersey on. You can also see that with the ridiculous neon colored soccer shoes and such.
Its not that you HAVE to wear minimalist white stans or something but you have so many different ways to make yourself stand out from the crowd in real life that wearing overdone designed shoes is the laziest possible method. This in conjunction with the label of teenagers and hypebeasts wearing them only further enforces the negative wrap they get. Sort of like when you see some dude smoking a vape, immediately the first image that pops into your head are faggots blowing smoke everywhere at malls and such. Just my 2c anyways.

I'm a 28 year old man. I have some nice work shoes (black dockers) and I can dress professionally pretty well. However, I have a really hard time with casual clothes. I always end up dressing inappropriately for my age. I always end up wearing clothes that are only worn by 14 year old boys or 70 year old men. I currently have a pair of white New Balance 608 shoes.I pretty much only see those on old men. However, other shoes I look at seem to appeal to kids. An analogy I might us use is that a lot of shoes look like a typical "gaming PC". They have lots of bright colors and busy designs.

I want something casual, but appropriate for a 28 year old. I also don't want to look like a hipster. Some of you guys show clothes on here that look nothing like what I see people wearing day to day.

So, what kind of shoe should I get? Running, sneakers, etc? I don't know what all the types are or what the differences are. What color should I get? I'm thinking I should avoid blue. I see way too many middle school boys wearing blue shoes. I'm also thinking I should avoid white. Lots of old men wear bright white shoes like my current NBs. I'm guessing a black or gray would work best, right?

I'm a software engineer. I think I do okay with dress clothes. I think I'm pretty good at picking out appropriate clothes for work. One of my coworkers is a very nice Vietnamese woman who helps me pick out clothes as well. She helped me a lot to look less autistic.

I think I really like the Vans shoes. Out of the various shoe brands I've been looking at, those seem to be the most neutral looking. They seem to fit nicely into that niche between being too casual (most athletic shoes) and too professional (dress shoes). Although the New Balance 574 also look nice. They're much nicer than the 608 shoes that are old men shoes.
