Step off the HATE-TRAIN for 1 sec, EROS is surprisingly smooth & calming. This is because EROS smell like 【Lemony Mint Vanilla Bomb】which make it a great Aromatic Therapy for stress relief:

【MINT】relieve stress, anxiety, pain, raise alertness, increase energy, and even improved memory

【VANILLA】calming, soothing, sedative effect on brain Vanilla not only reduce social-anxiety, but it is also a proven spirit-lifting【Anti-Depressant】Lastly, Vanilla like chocolate is an Aphrodisiac that stirs sexual desires EROS is a great DATE/SEX Scent for watching Netflix on the couch w/your partner. Its smooth calming quality relax your partner into romantic sex.

You can HATE the Versace the Brand, or HATE Eros Homo-Erotic marketing, but you cannot DENY EROS is a Minty Vanilla with heavy dose of aromatic therapy

【EROS is OverHype as Club King】 Due to its Calming tranquil qualities, EROS lack the "ATTITUDE" of PB INVICTUS or 1 Million. Eros can't compete against Armani Code Profumo in Projection nor Longevity. It'll work in club, but not the best. Eros perform the same as reformulated JPG Le Male

I EROS but for an entirely different set of reasons: • EROS is loud enough for clubbing, but also • EROS is also Calm (relaxing) enough for working • EROS is romatic for dating, and • EROS is relaxing enough for aromatic therapy • EROS MINT give it a Summer Freshness • EROS VANILLA give it Strength to in Fall & Winter • EROS = 10/10 in all season VERSATILITY

EROS has no Weakness, other than a poorly conceive marketing as a Club scent. People jump on the HATE Train without discovering its Theraputic qualities.

EROS is actually better on【Older Mature People】 Its soothing, calming, qualities give it a vibe of a Mature Confident Man (who doesn't need to prove).

Younger Men might be better off with Paco Rabanne Invectus / 1 Million / Black XS, PB Frag have serious ATTITUDE that makes you STAND OUT in clubs.

I dont get this frag stuff... i have laying around about 100 different decants and there are only around 5 frags which i would really wear on a daily basis, because i actually like them and also other people may like them.
all the other 95 are crap. like all the oud fragrances, oud is cancer. all strong musky scents - cancer. grey vetiver could be really nice but they have to ruin it with ugly musk... come on..
my favs are sauvage(i love the ambroxan, 5-6 days of wearing and you only smell cheap synthetic crap),
french lover(some find it scary, i like it very much),
bleu de chanel(boring but ok),
roja enigma ph (im digging the cola note - awesome but i cant wear it because im young looking and $$$),
dior homme intense (but i dress sporty, doesnt fit me most times),
ysl body kouros (wearing it only at home, doesnt fit me actually, im white and not arabian or something like that)

not favs
mugler stuff - ugly sweet
other malle frags - most animalic, i hate animalic, smells like old ladys
nasomatto - black afghano nice scent but i dont want to smell like im carrying pounds of weed (blaze it fegget)
chanel allure frags - to much aldehydes and only smells nice when not youself, but someone else is wearing it
chanel platinum - old men drydown, otherwise great
encre noire - SPINACH i dont want to smell like popeye
terre de hermes - OK, gf doesnt like it at all fuck you
le male - synthetic mess
1 million - "
eros - "
acqua di gio ph - not good
adg profumo - bit to orientalic
d&g the one - shit performance smells just OK
ysl la nuit - very nice frag but i feel like a teenager wearing it
succus - sometimes its fun to wear it, but gets annoying very quick
eau de narcisse - i love iris, but its androgyn and others say i smell like women
vetiver frags - for men in their 40s i think

Are you new here, or to fragrances in general? Are you looking for one expensive frag, or 2-3 less-expensive frags?

If you asked me what's one good all-rounder to have I'd personally recommend Creed's Millesime Imperial. I've got a ton of frags and it's the only one I absolutely love that is ALSO loved by others. People often complain about the performance but I don't think it's bad at all, considering it isn't a club frag. 3 sprays lasts me an 8 hour workday and I still get compliments on it when I go to uni afterwards for research. It's not very popular (at least in my area) so that's another plus, since you don't want to smell like every other guy out there. Anyway, it's like $150 on Notino.

There are also the meme frags like Sauvage, BDC, Dylan Blue, etc. that are pretty well-received among normies, too, but I don't like the way they smell, and if I don't like it I'm not gonna wear it no matter how much others like it (this is why I love MI).

150 bucks is a generous budget, problem is we don't know anything about your preferences. your age doesn't make it easier, high school fragrances are not appropriate anymore, more mature fragrances are not yet appropriate. anyway,.give these Laliques a try (as in smell them or buy samples before buying, do not blind buy), I'd generally recommend them for a 25+ guy but a medstudent can probably pull them off and they'll age well with you. all are high quality, all are school/office safe, all will go relatively well with a smart casual or formal attire, all smell more expensive than they are, all can be had between 30 and 50 dollars:
Encre Noire Sport (Spring-Summer-gentle Fall)
Hommage a L'Homme Voyageur (Spring-Fall)
L'Insoumis (Fall-Winter)
White (Spring-Summer)
Please notice that these are not ideal for casual occasions (clubbing, hanging out with friends in jeans and a t-shirt) and not a single scent will fit every season and consider buying accordingly.

One guys is all like "oh theres no more ambergris apparently), NIBBA there was never any. It's true that over time they probably watered it down so longevity is effected, but I don't get why people see it as a holy grail, it never had ingredients like that, it was always ambroxan. He also mentions batch variations aren't a thing. Well back in the day all they did was purposely change the levels of the fruity accord or birch wood accord, because that helps the guise of "oh well when using natural products, batch variations are commonplace", which is true. But obviously this is Creed Marketing, so no.

Overall I think that reforms do happen when companies want to cheapen stuff after it reaches a certain level of exposure, but its just hilarious to see people cry about it like the frag or Creed for that matter had "KWALITY" ingredients in the first place, well to me they atleast used a decent musk/ambrette replacement.

I'm not going to do what the sperg did and say "hurr you guise no nuffin", but it's true that some people out there just regurgitate marketing and don't really have reference points for certain ingredients.

Thanks lads gonna check these out. To be fair if Tom Ford is 50 ml and let’s say there’s 15 sprays in each ml, that would be 750 days of use which is unrealistic since you’re not gonna use it every day. So maybe for £150 something that’ll last me 2.5 - 3 years is not that bad.

Batch code autism is legitimately entertaining but Creed is
a) a company that consistently lies about its heritage
b) a company that is unable to make a consistent product in its professed field of expertise.
Realistically speaking 99% of the so-called niche parfumery industry is a shitmix of overblown egos, grandiose bullshit claims, marketing gimmicks and outright bizzare-laughable concepts, all to get rich off the delusions of luxury as imagined by strictly middle class folks.

That list comprises of both fine and functional fragrance molecules, news flash, the molecule companies also make detergents and cleaning products that require smell (shocker)! Although some molecules are used in floor cleaner and sometimes fine fragrances, e.g. Iso E Super, Alpha iso methyl ionone, not every molecule on that list will be used in fine fragrance. If you can find an example of someone using Styrene even in a bog standard commercial designer perfume, then you can lord it over /fa/.

Ok idk if you are serious or not but I'll bite, here goes.

This right here is a 60's batch of Bal a Versailles parfum. When it came it was factory sealed with the pretty little silk rope, so all the poison is as perfectly preserved as can be. It was reformed in the 70's due to the concentration of certain ingredients being at toxic levels. On top of being apparently poisonous it also contains unethical ingredients (depending on outlook); Musk (from the Tonkin area of Vietnam), Nitro musk to reinforce the natural musk (nitro musks have been banned for decades now or heavily restricted), Civet (which can be ethically harvested but CITES is funny about it), Castoreum (Ditto), and Ambergris (it isn't unethical and technically a byproduct of the Whale but certain people find it "problematic"). There are also floral absolutes in this, Jasmine with benzyl levels that IFRA don't allow more than a few drops at most in fragrances today, Three different types of rose absolute that again are hated by IFRA due to a couple of chemical components. A slither of oakmoss as well for good measure, again restricted today. There are many components of this fragrance that were restricted in recent times.

Ironically IFRA are still dogpiled for ignoring "concerning" chemicals, and I will agree with you that there is something shady going on, money changing hands potentially, but hey its the EU. If you feel strong about this then theres nothing wrong with that, its just that whatever argument you put on will most likely fall on deaf ears. Frankly I am more pissed at oakmoss getting restricted than I am IFRA being shady about a molecule related to plastic. Plus there might be people that hold a position directly opposite to you, and more likely than not you won't sway them.

It would be like someone trying to tell me not to wear this because of unethical ingredient x, or restricted ingredient y that is IFRA restricted. Could we tradeoff Oakmoss for Styrene restriction wise?

L’Instant Pour Homme Eau Extreme is a brilliant and elegant spicy fragrance, with gorgeous sandalwood in a smoky composition.

I'm personally a sucker for vintage/older perfumes in the grand manner, despite most of them being marketed for women. Apres l'Ondee is a cheerful, morning impressionist blur of violets and dew- sublime. I honestly think that l'Heure bleue extrait is eminently wearable for men dressed to impress at a black tie event.

And don't get me started on Songe d'un bois d'ete. A magnificent fragrance of cumin, cloves, dry and dusty and outrageously spicy, tempered with dark roses. I try not to use the epithet, but it truly is the sexiest fragrance on earth. Heaven smells like this.

I mean, kinda this desu. I bought my first Creed scents because I’d heard it was a good house (heard nothing about the history, just about the products), sampled a few liked them a lot, and decided to buy them. That’s it.

I give zero fucks about the supposed “history”. It’s advertising. All companies have bullshit they tell you to try to sell their products. You really think McDonalds uses “premium” beef in their “gourmet” burgers? I don’t give a shit, tastes amazing when I’m drunk. I don’t think “man, this restaurant is playing my dumb ass for a fool, tricking me into buying their shitty food with their slick advertising”, I think “goddamn, this is a tasty goddamn burger”. Same deal with Creed. I love MI, other people love it on me, I don’t give a fuck about the history.

It’s pretty autistic to assume that people buy Creed because of the brand’s history and judge people or assume others are judging them because of that.

Same goes for booze, get an empty Gray Goose bottle and fill it with the shittiest gin you can find, she'll think she's being treated lol.

Anyways I was gifted a new one and it's I'd say about half the performance. Still very good I guess.

Reminder Noir de Noir is the only private blend worth getting. Let's go through the list:

Tuscan Leather: Cloned and improved by Rasasi La Yuqawam Homme. Better smell for less than half the price.
Tobacco Vanille: You will smell like a candle. A nice candle, but a candle nonetheless. Not worth $250.
Oud Wood: Fantastic smell, but only lasts for 5 hours at most. Again, not worth $250 with this kind of performance.
Tobacco Oud: Yikes. If it's your thing, go for it, I guess.
Neroli Portofino Collection: All last for 3 hours at most. Nice scents but absolutely not worth the price, like Oud Wood.
Everything else: who cares lol

>> No.13150505

>>13150478
I kind of agree with you. TL IS improved with La Yuqawam- even then I don't reach for my bottle much as it's such a brash, sharp fragrance; difficult to pull off in ordinary situations.

Tobacco Vanille never did anything for me.

I really enjoy Venetian Bergamot, the creamiest most smooth holiday fragrance imaginable, but I'm certain something similar can be found for much less. I juts haven't found it yet. It also leans (too much?) feminine.

Amber absolute was great, but now I find it overwhelming, no matter how much you dab on. It screams like a diva and carries itself like a grand dame- too dramatic for me. Anyway, it's been obsoleted by my discovery of Ambra Aurea.

I haven't tried Noir de Noir but will do so.

The rest of them never appealed to me, and anyway the brand has gone to shite ever since they released Fucking Fabulous. That fragrance was already dead when they released it.
