I was surprised when I went to a Saint Laurent store and checked the boots. The design is very nice, mind you, but the leather is nothing special. Allen Edmonds have better quality and they don't really compare to Prada or Ferragamo. I have yet to try Story et Fall but I've heard very good things about it.
