post interior organization inspo and tips here. I struggle with accumulating things redundantly and losing track of clothes and small items. a major part of my problem was being very visually oriented (and maybe having primitive reptile-like object permanence) and consigning things to boxes, drawers, opaque containers. now for some things that may be for the best but I’ve found the aesthetics of my room and working spaces improved dramatically once I started putting things in clear cases like these acrylic organizers from MUJI and making better use of vertical space so things weren’t stacked on top of one another in depressing opacity

nice. I like old-school museum-style display cases, but also more modern arrangements where the frames and borders are unobtrusive and light passes freely through the whole structure, which combats the cramped and overwhelming feeling you can get with wood or velour partitions. something like pic related is imo great for displaying curios and sentimentals (bones, rocks, dried vegetation) like I seem to have a habit of picking up.

for tools, books, jewelry that gets regularly worn, something without a front pane even if transparent would be better so there’s less friction in accessing it.

for me drawers are where things go to be forgotten
