Hey Florence medanon I hope you are feeling better with your virus and also more comfortable about leaving for school.

I got my endoscopy and should get biopsy results next week, and they found no ulcers or anything. As luck would have it, I'm starting to feel better so many the endoscopy was a waste of time. Who knows.

Frustrating getting my appetite back but only being able to tolerate lots of carby foods since it's going to cause me to gain back the weight (only silver lining I had in all this) really fast if I'm not careful. :/

Anyone else reached their goal and now stricken with anxiety that they're gonna crack and lose all their progress?

I'm down to 18 BMI, I'm eating healthier than I ever have in my entire life, my days are almost nutritionally complete. Everything's going great, and yet I can't get it out of my head, I keep seeing those posts about how "diets never work" "you're gonna end up gaining all the weight back" "it's gonna backfire" all the resentful looks I get from the fat girls at my job, they all keep offering me junk food with these weird, coy smiles on their faces. Fuck I'm losing it man

I've had my fair share of binges, I know that it's never worth it, my self-control is way better than it used to be, and yet I can't help but feel like I'm gonna have some awful week and gain back all of the 30 lbs I've lost, or I'm gonna become jaded and "broken" by how hard I pushed myself this fall and lapse into being a bitter fat again, telling all the hopeful young girls that "diets don't work"

I really want to eat healthy, I want to be thin, and of course treating myself every once in a while isn't gonna fuck up everything, but now that I've reached my goal and can put a hold on the dieting for a while... this is all starting to feel like one big lie I'm telling myself... I got thin in 2015/6, and I thought maintaining would be easier, but really every day is a struggle. I haven't found a good program that makes maintaining fairly easy.

I do IF and that helps, but, I have to eat lunch or people are going to think I'm anorexic, and once I do eat lunch then I'm starving between lunch and dinner.

Lol it went better than I expected. We saw the movie the Shape of Water. It was really good. Then we went to her older sisters apartment where she was having a small party. I'm not against fasting, but, really just slowly trimming weight off is the most sustainable and healthiest way to lose weight. Fasting isn't bad either, it promotes autophagy and helps with insulin resistance, but it doesn't teach the good eating practices that are needed for maintaining a slender weight.

X ray tech, actually. Much less drama than nursing. And much less cleaning poop off of patients. It's not a bad gig at all. I'm still a student but the hospital I'm rotating through pays $40/hr because it's a trauma center and university hospital in a big city, and of the the other students working here, I'm the one they will most likely hire (one student doesn't want to work there, the other is very slow and not confident enough).

Also, just to warn you, if you ever end up sick at a teaching hospital, you WILL have students working on you, whether they tell you or not. It's pretty obvious (I'm young, 24, and have different colored scrubs) but I don't mention it unless the patient asks. You can ask that a student not work on you, but sometimes, and this is from other techs mouths, the students are a little better at the x ray equipment because we're more familiar with the newest tech that's been implemented. I don't know how that applies to nursing students and doctorate students, but x rays are just quick pictures anyway. Very little radiation because of computers being so good these days.

I do all my medical at a teaching hospital, it never really bothered me since I trust the administration has a pretty good handle on what students are doing and it has the best medical in the area. The doctor isn't a student anyways. I just had an endoscopy and I'm pretty sure a student put my IV in, but she had a seasoned nurse with her watching. It took her two tries kek, bit of a bruise from the miss. Also every once in a while at an appointment a few students will sit in, but even on the embarrassing stuff I don't mind. They give you the option to not have them in there, I always say they can stay.

Honestly anon, I don't think reaching this mode requires a lot of attention or work if we're already thin. Just keep doing what you're doing, drink shitloads of water and black coffee, fast, cut excessive carbs and eat loads of protein. And of course, exercise (3x8 pullups/chinups/pushups 3x a week are enough, abs will come with low bodyfat, and fuck legs).

I found out the more I worried about macros and shit, the less I developed my body. Just have an idea about what you're eating and compensate for that with either exercise or hunger.
