Very few things from their lookbook stand out compared to their previous season. I like that black long sleeve but it's quite plain. I dislike the color choices on the hoodies despite owning this. I'd like to see photos from the store if you are willing to share any, though. The drum machine sweater looks okay if you like techno, I guess?

I used to live near Tokyo too. Head the fuck down to the thrift stores. 10 Tow is my favourite, personally, but Kindal, Ragtag and Don Don Down Wednesday is good too. Go to 10 Tow for lots of cheap used Yohji, CDG and some random Helmuts, Ricks and Rafs if you're lucky.

Then you've got the boutiques - the Studious stores are my favourite for menswear. Beams and United Arrows are nice for that Popeye magazine comfy core vibe.

OP here yeah I'm probably going to try to cop. The more I look at it the more I like it. I don't know what the price will be exactly but probably between 500-700. CE is getting quite expensive... kind of shame. I'll still fork over for their best pieces but some of it is thoroughly overpriced. I saw a store exclusive bag on their Insta that is kind of neat so I was looking to get it, but not at 300. I think there will be a limit to their price inflation and I think we've reached it. If it gets any pricier people will be turned off. The fur and brown leather bomber that dropped today was like 2,300 bucks ha. I personally find it ugly.

As for the fit, pretty much what the other guy said. No Vans on tech fit come on lad, scarf is a no, definitely no bare ankles. Hard to say what color the pants are, but in any event I'd change them. Rick cargos might look good with that jacket. I'd just go full Cav Empt like an absolute madman to be honest.

Their selection of everything used to be way better, and the prices used to be lower too. I remember they had old CDG suit jackets for maybe $20 or $30 USD on sale, now they barely have any and the ones they do have are $50 or more for the same thing. One of them, the lab taipei one, is. Unfortunately only a single manufacturer was selling it, and he somehow managed to screw up the print on his entire run, resulting in the graphic on the back looking like it's been sun damaged. I'm still going to wear it - haven't had the chance to yet - but I'm a little disappointed because I like that shirt alot. The other one is pretty common. I just purchased fake ones because I don't make enough money to justify spending $60 USD on a t-shirt. If I'm going to put a large amount of money into something, I would prefer it to be something warm or a piece of outerwear.

Too lazy to photograph all my items but I own pic related, the Dies Irae Jacket, one of the two suit jackets, other side sweater in magenta, color block hoodie in green, red and cream, the two shirts I mentioned, and one of the noise military shirts from 2012 or 2013 I don't recall which. I'm currently looking for neutral outwear from them because, as much as I like the dies irae one, it's not very flexible.

Can someone please help me with a dilemma I'm having? I want to buy this. I love the band and I like undercover. However, there are some issues I'm having trouble getting past;
-One is that this would be the most expensive piece of clothing I've purchased. I'm aware that it's a low value for that status but my wardrobe is made up of items I've found through penny pinching. I don't really own any grail status items.
-It's outside my current 'style', though I don't really think I can say I have a properly established one. I have a few items from CE, undercover and number nine, but I don't really have enough items in a single vein to say that I dress this way or that way. I can roughly picture how I would wear this, but even then I still would feel somewhat uncomfortable doing so as a sleeveless hoodie seems a bit daunting for me. Fairly punk. The closest thing I have to that are some darted n(n) jeans and a distressed number nine t-shirt.
-The last thing is the cost in relation to the above factors. I'm worried I'll spend a bunch on it and then wear it once, feel awkward and uncomfortable, then try and resell it only for noone to be interested and it to sit on a hanger for 9 months, as I've experienced with another item.

Are you just supposed to 'dive into' higher tier clothing like this?

On my way home. 10tow is a very nice shop. Not really my style, lots of leather and menswear, jackets and such. But if you like Yohji and or CDG it is a must see. Lots of impressive Yohji. They had a cool Rick knee length hoodie for 350~ that seemed like an OK deal. Absolute highlight was this insane Jun Heat-- leather jacket with these tassels and little skull pendants. On sale for 9 bands!! lmao.

Suspect. I'd stay away from it. Here are two tags, the made in Japan one is on a very old piece and the made in China one is very recent. You can see they are identical size and both have clear dark stitching.

N.Hoolywood does really cool mid-priced (around Our Legacy pricing) vintage influenced minimal stuff. Main guy had a vintage store before he started his own brand and it shows. Nice quality stuff with good mix of basics and designer pieces. Also mostly usage of black, grey and white.
Wacko Maria became popular recently. A pretty relaxing take on streetwear with very Japanese vibes. Ssense, Havenshop, MrPorter and SlamJamSocialism carry them. Also imo fairly priced. Also look into Sacai (similar to Undercover's elegant punk but more colorful) and Sasquatchfabrix (great fucking stuff).

OP here, I can't recommend Neighborhood enough. Very cool brand and very slept on for the most part. A lOt of their stuff has a pretty mensweary vibe as well, leather and denim kind of stuff. So it's pretty versatile. High price point though.

I'll make a thread after this one is at the limit for Japanese brands in general.

Sounds good, I really love Japanese clothing brands for their quality, attention to detail, design, etc but find them largely overshadowed by the usual brands that are popular in North America.
Unfortunately for me I only have access to them through one or two stockists (at high markups) or through used channels. I envy you guys who are living in Japan and have it access to it all. I guess I'll live vicariously through you.

When I remeber correctly CE always had some stuff that was made in China (like some of the jackets and knits). Undercover, Neighborhood and Visvim always did that too and I can't say quality is worse. It's just that some things are better produced in a more technologically state-of-art fabrics with strickter quality control. CE's sweats were always made in Japan though...

I'm the guy who recommended 10 Tow. You could be lucky, I managed to cop this YYPH shirt for 15k because there was a really really tiny hole on the sleeve. Basically it's like any other thrift store, you could be lucky or you could not. The curation is pretty great though, so you probably will find something you like.

OP here, I can second Daikanyama. Harajuku/Jingumae/Omotesando/Aoyama strip too of course. A lot of well dressed people but a lot of tryhards too. Pudgy Chinese hypebeasts in full Supreme and shit.

OG redblooded vogue is Ginza, bit it’s definitely older classy people. You will see a lot hnnng milfs in fur and shit there. Also best place for sportscar watching. Even saw a P1 one time. Ginza is the closest thing to Rodeo drive.

I'm not a big cafe guy but Yoyogi park by Harajuku station is one of my favorite spots. Not really for the fashion conscious particularly it's just a park but you can see interesting people there all the time.

Oh and back to Daikanyama there is actually a cool cafe/restaurant where you just sit on beds. Pretty comfy.
