Sure, midweight and heavyweight jeans are stiff before breaking them in, the fit isn't always the most modern or flattering and some fabrics may be scratchy, but...

this desu. fell for the raw denim meme years ago on a pair of apcs. i was autistic about not washing them to get good fading on them and they started smelling like shit so i put them in the freezer like a dumb dumb. i bought them for the winter thinking they were warmer but they were the same as my other non raw jeans

BLACK raw denim is cool because it turns grey over time and never looks bad. Even the lamest most contrasted fades look acceptable on black and shit on blue, see >pic related
BLUE raw denim on the other hand looks like shit all the time.
