How does one go about replicating this unique fashion style? I don't know the first place to start assembling this fashion, but I'd love some help in it.

I think it's a very tough call because that whole era was predicated upon the experience of being suddenly released from constrictions previously enforced by society, yet it had not yet devolved into the egotism, criminality and above all else the cynicism that would end up destroying it and outliving it as a cultural hallmark.

The innocence that made your OP pic possible has been destroyed, eaten from the inside out by crystal meth, cocaine, heroin, hollywood, vietnam, cointelpro, Charles Manson, the music industry, the failed communes with their pregnant 12 year olds and the countless burned out acid heads, like zombies in the streets of haight ashbury.

The dream is dead. Conceptually, fashion nowadays is far closer to a suit of social armor than it is an expression of joy or wonder.
