Wear early 20th century military inspired clothing. Puttees/leg-wrappings were widely used during World War I, and also by many during World War II, and somewhat afterwards, as well. You could easily incorporate leg-wrappings with khaki or olive drab pants, shirts, and jackets. The boots should be rather low, though, as the point of these was that full-topped boots were not worn, and leg-wraps took their place due to the economy of the practice.
