Alright /fa/m I got about 100 miles of hiking to do next week in central Europe. How can do look effay while doing it? Unfortunately my boots are boring as fuck, standard brown. Moderate weather - 60s Fahrenheit.

This shit is terrible attire for hiking. Ditch the style for practicality and comfort. At 60F you will be extremely warm while moving so just go with cheap athletic wear. A wicking t shirt, cheap running shoes and cheap board shorts have always been my go to. For night times I wear thermal long underwear. I always keep a set of FrogTogs in my backpack since it’s made of Tyvec so it weighs nothing and is compressible.

The ephasis of quality hiking brand is never fashion, in fact fashion can undermine their products, for exemple those ugly flashy colors in coats are meant to make you more noticible.
If you are hiking practicality, durability and function is what you want, not to look good.

As a MRT member, ill-equipped hikers are one of the worst burdens on our service. Inexperienced day-trippers are just cancer on the hills.

Arktis has affordable high quality clothing that will keep you warm/ventilated/dry. They make stuff for british SAS special forces and shit. If you wanna look good while hiking and larp as a early 19th century explorer/hiker I'd look into Frank Leder and Nigel Cabourn, both make quality clothing based on old world methods and materials.

I would never be caught dead wearing it on a college campus, but god damn it is a high quality jacket.

This dude was The Godfather of backpacking. Back then there was no such thing as ultralight. In those days people hauled around giant uncomfortable external frame packs with 60-70 lbs of gear.
things were more effay back then
