It only looks good if it's coherent with the rest of the outfit. Wearing 'normal' clothes in light shades and then having glossy black nails looks wrong.

Black nails can work but it isnt something I could imagine wearing for long periods of time. Wear them for 2-4 weeks and than lay off for a bit, otherwise your gonna be that weird guy with black nails all the time. Unless your in a band or somethings its kind of strange.
