If you are white, it might've been a way to prove the unmasculine whiteness of this black guys shoes. His friends are laughing at the embarrassment the guy with the shoes on is going through. Well, maybe the opposite happened then. Maybe the two friends hated the shoes and the other guy was wearing them and then you complemented the shoes. The two guys laugh because they were proven wrong, with the guy with the shoes giving off a smug smile of victory. When they walk off, the friend says kill yourself to you as an act of putting you down for disproving them in thinking that other people will find the shoes ugly.
