If vegan leather looks good and legit and you look good wearing it: you are promoting leather to people every time you wear it and increasing consumption of it.

Imagine if you did a cooking show where you made fake burgers and told everyone how great they tasted but you never told people you were using fake meat. They'd go and buy real meat to make your recipe.
