Get some redone 501s if you want something timeless or some wrecked One Teaspoon shorts if you want something a little rougher/sexier. The key to choosing denim shorts is finding a pair that highlights the qualities of the textile (structure, shape) and still flatters your body. If you need a longer pair for school or work or biking in, cut a pair of thrift store 501s that fit comfortably around your thighs around a hand's length above the knee, cuff them twice and belt them if you can't be bothered to get the waist tailored
