What is the alternative to fedoras this summer for sun protection /fa/-bros.

I want to protect my skin from the sun but not look like a reddit clown. And I am in my early 30's I don't want to wear jockey swag hats either.

Wear functional hats you get from places like REI. Don't try to look /fa/. The more ugly and functional the hat is: the more acceptable it is. Because people will know you're not trying to look cool and failing, like they will think if you wear a fedora.

Jesus it's just a hat. If it's hot outside who cares? A wide brim hat is pretty good protection.
