Have you ever listened to It's Alright, Ma? To be able to maintain such dense lyricism while running so many different poetic devices throughout is no easy feat. Even if it doesn't appeal to you, it's hard not to appreciate the amount of effort and creative thought that went into just one song I think. The mixing, arrangement, and composition are all incredibly well done on top of such great song writing. The same goes for a lot of Dylan songs. Perhaps bluesy folk just isn't your thing though.
