Uhhh are you male or female? Either way get basic pieces that you like but add some unique flair to it.

If you follow trends to the t you will always look basic. Look at inspo and experiment

Further, there are many kinds of basic. Basic punk, basic bitch, basic jock, frat star, thot, basic chinese exchange student, basic yuppie, etc.
