I'd say it depends on what shoe. I think on most runners with more "classic" silhouettes, gum on the very bottom sole can look good. Some shoes shouldn't have a gum sole though. Stans are already fucking annoying and worn by everyone, but pic related are some of the ugliest sneakers ever and look awful in fits.
