To stay ahead of the curve when it comes to fashion is to reject it entirely and start a violent youth movement with distinct outfits. In the postmodern age, this is less likely to come out of the west. Look to impoverished countries and communities, as well as traditional formal dress, for "inspo" that extends beyond pandering to your desire for a petty "look".
