Im making a capsule/uniform wardrobe, and I want some joggers. Does anyone know a good brand that makes black, slim, khaki/chino material joggers for under $80CAD, something that isn't shit quality? Something like picrelated, but in black.

>> No.12314986

>>12314966
Unless it's something extremely appealing you're going have a very hard time. But in the very rare case that it is, then yes, but you should invest in having your own produced clothes.

A better option is to buy blanks from China from somewhere like Aliexpress, but there are cheaper sites. You can then remove the label and it wont look so tacky as printing on something as obvious as Gildan. You might even find more interesting fits to print on also (oversized, bigger necks, etc).

Just some advice from someone who tried to start designing stuff and realised you need a lot of money and good contacts to get into it. It's just not worth it. I started another business and it's going good and I make a standard wage, and looking back at the clothes idea I realised it's a hard market that you can only really successful in by either studying clothes design, having a big budget, and/or already having an established business.

If it's just for fun or your passion then don't let any of the above stop you. But 99.9% people think they have a great idea that will make them money, so be honest with yourself. If you're not ready to accept that it wont be successful then give up now.

I'm giving you some quality, serious and realistic advice that not many people will give you on the internet.

I've got one. You need to size up at least one if not two sizes (go by chest measurements). Also, there are 3 variants of the flecktarn parka. 2 of them have the same cut but slightly different coloring, and the other one is actually cut way up in the back but looks basically identical from the front so you need to be careful when you order. Make sure you're buying the parka version and not the other one. It's confusing because both are labeled as parkas, but only 2 of them actually are. If you get the wrong one none of them are parkas.

I'm a complete newbie to fashion, and I thought I would give palewave a shot. I know, "normie clothes in a light color scheme don't deserve blablabla".. I know, I just desire to get started wearing items within a fixed color palate, and with it being Spring, I think palewave is a great starting point for me.

Some info before the questions: I'm going to start off by just purchasing one item as a staple for my rotation. I purchased a pair of Levis 511 slim-fit in a light blue stonewash color that I'm planning on wearing every day with the other items.

Onto the questions.
1.) I own a pair of white onitsukas, but they have creases in them and just do not look good on my feet. I desire to fit in my current daily shoes, New Balance 990v4's (pic related), but I don't know if they're in the color range to be classified as palewave. Can I wear these New Balances with a Palewave fit?

2.) If the answer to #1 is yes, then should I balance it out with a hat that closely matches the shoe color? Does it matter if it matches the secondary (a darker gray) or should I stick with pairing it with the primary color?

3.) For the Levis, I will need to take them to a tailor, since I'm a manlet and need the length altered (also why I don't really desire to wear white shoes, since I've heard it doesn't look good for short guys). Should I also ask the tailor to taper the jeans? I've heard some people say that slim tapered jeans look better.

Any help regarding any of the questions would be much appreciated.

>> No.12327104

>>12327069
1) I don't think so. I would go for the onitsukas.
3) Generally tapered looks better

Q: I need a pair of jeans. How do Nudie raws hold up?

1.) Don't worry too much about whether or not something "is" palewave. Nobody gives a shit on whether or not you're fitting into a regimented style, if the shoes look good with what you're wearing then the shoes are good.

That being said, I personally think those NBs look a bit silly. Unless you're purposefully going for a dadcore look, I don't get it. I think a simpler model like the 501s or 791s would fit better with a palewave look if that's what you really wanna go for.

2.) Please don't. From my own experience matching hat and shoes doesn't work unless you're wearing a monochrome outfit.

3.) Personal pref, depends on what the fit of the jeans looks like rn.

>> No.12327125

>>12327069
those NBs are gross. not palewave at all. palewave isn't just color (even though those aren't palewave colored), it's about pattern, shape, lines, etc too. those are too busy.

>> No.12327129

>>12327069

Nah, I think either white or a pastel colours like mint or cream work better for palewave shoes. Also, I've never heard anything about white shoes looking bad on short guys, and I'm pretty short myself.

Tapered typically look nicer and will generally be more versatile. However, more relaxed jeans fit in with the whole 'palewave' thing a bit better, in my opinion. Kinda like >>12325446. Try putting safety pins in the jeans yourself and see which style looks nicer. You could also pinroll them.

>>12327104

I've owned 2 pairs of Nudie jeans and the crotch blew in both of them pretty quickly. I wouldn't recommend. I've heard better things about Unbranded and Gustin in that price category, but that's purely anecdotal.

Brown looks better with that style, but what are you going to be wearing with it first of all?

And honestly, no one really cares how well you're dressing in university if you at least look like you put some thought into what you wore.

I'll wear them with shirt, trousers and belt. Sometimes I might not wear a belt.

Sort of formal, but without suit. It makes a lot of heat where I live, and this is how I usually dress myself. I always roll my sleeves up, though.

I wear brown belts.

I'm open to other possibilities, though. Do you have recommendations of clothes that would go well with those shoes?

What N&F fit is the closest to Easy Guy? I went into a store to try out the fits for myself and I found out that I like the Easy Guy fit best in a waist size one inch less than my actual size (28 instead of 29). Most of the other styles I want don't come in Easy Guy though.
